Ahhhhh that was so intense. It's really well written like dally trying to explain himself and then waking up to the light and fighting with Johnny. I get all stressed out reading it and have to remind myself that I'm in public and can't be jumping around making noises and faces! Haha.

I love the rain that keeps being involved at really good times. like the drizzle as they get near the cemetery. and then the ominous thunder as they go into the house.

OMG. this story is sooo good. i didnt even know what i was getting into when i started this story. i was just looking for something with johnny alive in it and well written. and then i saw the review number on this and thought ok ill read that. and i figured it would be about johnny trying to get away from his parents and maybe the gang and his relationship is explored a bit. but this is something else! this is character development, family relations, angst, drama, mystery, horror. and none of it is over done and boring or slow or unrealistic or cliche. and the OCs are done really well. and there is such good body language and little details with all the characters.

another excellent chapter. i love the humor amid all the angst. like the line about the dog getting bold. too funny! and about the ducks even needing somewhere to sleep. and this ghost thing is too interesting! this is so well written. i love it! and i love coal. you know i dont even like animals. never had a pet in my life. but i love the relationship between johnny and coal and dally.

THIS IS SOO GOOD. that was such a cute scene. and its really nice to see johnny in a happy home environment where he is being cared for, but not totally babied. because a lot of fanfictions will have OC characters taking care of him but practically smothering him and making him seem really weak when we know taht he is actually very brave and strong and likes being independent (he seems to really like that cherry and marcia ask him and ponyboy to protect them at the drive in). they way his family in this story is treating him is nurturing him but in a way that allows him to really be himself and become more outgoing and confident which is the best! and this scene was just too cute. and i love the mystery element with the grandmother and the first husband and the boy in the photo! its so good!

So that scene where he passes by the church and he feels something terrible and then feels relief like he avoided something. That was pure gold. I mean. That was a masterpiece. Like. You are amazingggg! That was so beautiful. And with all the talk about choices and how choices can lead to different situations. It is an interesting thought if we can sense what results making a different choice could do to us. Like he is sensing that if Johnny had stayed that is what would have happened and that would be the worst outcome. Also when you allude to that when Dally has the dream of trying to get Johnny and the fire and the bang.
