It's been Monday for 10 hours. I hope you still have enough chapters to post twice a week. I might actually have to talk to my boss' doctor friend if I have to wait until Friday for another fix, I mean, chapter.

Outstanding chapter. I can't believe you left us with the cliffhanger that you did though. :-) I loved the way that Ranger handled the police and especially that Lester and Ram got the guns and ran across the street to get the gunman. Best of all was Ranger's and the attorney's talk with the Police Chief. I didn't even think about how easy it would be to get information like "The Saint" did; his explanation was brilliant. I guess real hired killers do a lot of research, too. It's thinking outside the box, like Steph does with her skips. My heart clenches thinking about the rocket launcher, though. That would have killed them all in front of Ranger. So glad he went the back way. Excellent chapter. Absolutely outstanding.

Finally - maybe the last man is down? What an idiot that police chief was. Of course he is a big kahuna on a little island and probably felt like Ranger was threatening his big kahuna status and he had to hitch up his pants and act tough. Serves him right to get the smack down. Hopefully the family can have a little down time to have fun, then go home and get back to "normal".
