Fk this, im only reviewing because I read what the hell you are currently dealing with IRL.
Im ignoring everything of this chapter just to say this:
Dont you fucking die on us you sonofabtch. Dont you dare let your hopes up on your family. Whatever problems you are dealing with, you'll fall down to the ground. But dont you dare cower down like a fking coward and rise back up and stand proud. Stand proud that you have able to reach such a long life now.
I might just think that your news is bullshit but no. That kind of shit? I dont stand. I dont care if your situation is fake or not. I care your damn wellbeing and state.
Even I never knew you, I dont think you have done well enough to fully enjoy life in this damn fked up world.
Now man, rise up and stand proud. Give hope to your family, do not lose it.
Ever

It's so good to see you back again! And as much as I wanted to see Draconis waking up and in good health, I'm glad you decided to use this chapter to more set up future stuff. It was fun to see.
Now onto the specifics!
Is it wrong that I kinda forsaw that Ainz (at least at first) would do the bare minimum to take Draconis' wisdom to heart? Or even go about it the totally wrong direction? Because it doesn't seem like he regrets ANYTHING he did (which, to be fair, makes sense for his character, and his Undead issues with empathy), not even attacking and nearly killing probably his only friend and equal in this New World. Also, I like that you explored some of the more NEGATIVE aspects of actually becoming an Undead in mentality in contrast to canon's constant "Oh, look how edgy and cool he is!" His issues with empathy were only the beginning, now his memories are deteroriating (more on that later) and even his ability to feel good at ALL is severely hampered, while providing a feedback loop towards him feeling negative emotions. It really is a Cursed Existence, like how its supposed to be in YGGDRASIL'S lore.
I also have a theory as to WHY his memory is deteriorating, other than being Undead doesn't really do well to one's connections with the living. I think he's actually being hit with all the in-game years he spent obsessing over spells and magic, and as such his 'brain' (or whatever passes for it) is deleting memories that it deems unimportant (like his loved ones, the connections to his former life, and the friends he's made in YGGDRASIL) to make room for all the magic, spells, and underlings he has to keep track of.
Next, WOW. Did not expect the leader of the Beastmen to be THAT evil, but I'm glad he is so that it will make it all the more satisfying when someone shows him there is Power in Virtue (here's hoping for it to be one of the NPC's from Artoria's or Draconis' guilds just for extra irony- he's not the main villain of this story, or even the most powerful, so he doesn't get the 'honor' of being beaten by the head honcho/most powerful of his enemies). I like that you showed that not ALL Beastmen are bloodthirsty savages. Sure, they're the ones in control right now, but it definitely seems like they're actually the MINORITY of all the Beastmen. Here's hoping that Panther's plans actually factor into his 'leader's' downfall. Also, you mentioned that some beastmen were considered 'Abominations' by the others. Wonder if there's more going on here with these guys than just a savage and bloodthirsty personality...
Finally, OOOOOOH! That reveal with the Game Encyclopedia sent a few chills down my spine, and I love that Draconis is actually more open with his "NPC's" about their true origins rather than go the 'easy' route of maintaining the lie that Ainz spins. (Easy is in quotations because a lie just gets harder and harder to keep up as time goes one- as Ainz will eventually (if he actually CAN) learn.)
On a more personal note, I adore this story for many, many reasons. I could honestly list the plot, the characters, or the intriguing story as some of them. But the most prevelant reason? Unlike so many Overlord fanfics (and Overlord itself, unfortunately), you don't gloss over the atrocities done by Ainz and his merry band of villains, or try to paint them as 'necessary'. But unlike so many other Overlord fanfics, you acknowledge your own characters' flaws and make them effect the story. So, unlike so many of the haters here, I believe that Draconis is NOT a Mary Sue, and that his character is believable (I, for one, always take the option of playing the good guy- or at least trying to be good- when it comes to playing video and tabletop games) with his history and backstory. I kinda view him as a more experienced and more patient Thor post-character development from the first movie. Honorable to a fault, trying to do what's right over what's easy, extremely powerful both personally and politically, but still has some problems with a temper and arrogance at times. But at his heart, he is trying to be a good man above all else.
I'm also glad you and your family are doing well, and I can't wait till your next chapter!

I feel as though this is going to be the start of a dark age. We have four known Guild Bases and one that is unknown but obviously is an enemy of Draconis’. I wonder if this will make Ainz wake up and start wiping his own ass instead of letting it fester and begin to rot, because he hasn’t done so canonically and I’m really wondering if I’m going to find a fanfic where he does so.
Good read, definitely worth favoriting and following for those who like stories with character depth and not just having plot armor

well, i finally caught up after not reading much for a while, i have to say i very much like this story & its one of the best written on the site, But i cant help but feel you completely forgot about ainz no longer being human & having his emotions constantly suppressed, having a moment of rage is one thing but having it build like that i feel would merely not happen as it would be suppressed multiple times in that time-frame... unless there's some kind of spell suppressing his suppression?
ps. i feel that allot of fanatics get Ainz wrong, hes not stupid, hes merely lazy & has a bad habit of overlooking things, although not as bad as some (of which i stopped reading) i feel that you feel he is of the less than intelligent kind.

Sign, here we go, the worst outcome has occurred and I am not sure what to think of it. Nor do I have any idea how to proceed henceforth and that is concerning, but that is a beauty of it. Unpredictability is a charm in and of itself and I am approved of your choices regarding the actions you took in the recent chapters :) Well, for one, Draconis is learning to dealt with Nobles and the Emperor quite handily if I might add. He is neither a manipulator or 'charismatic leader' type but he manages to get the Emperor and nobles to get ready. I can't wait to see that Nobels and many more to be put into their places, however, but I am sure it will come in due time. Leinas is going to assist as well and that will certainly change things...that would have been great but the events that spiraled out of the control in the latter part of this chapter shall change it all. So, it is all true, the part where a certain NPCs of the Lair apologized to Artoria for her failure...or I am mistaken XD
The part where Lucia returning to her old guild hall is a surprise but a welcome one. From what I can see, as expected as Lucia's former guild, filled with many mighty beings XD That could definitely come into handy later when things go South which...it sort of is. Still, I wonder if she could create more of these automatons and upgraded them? I can foresee her teams up with Draconis and Artoria against Ainz and his Nazarick especially since after the fallout. She would be a valuable ally, hopefully, she does not get blind-sided by anyone, especially the Slane Theocracy whom I believe to be quite a threat if kept unchecked. Maybe this shall be the spark of a new conflict, as Draconis thwarted Ainz's ambition. Lucia would then need to watch out for New World threat, of which I can see to be quite dangerous in the dark, considering the might of Fae.
And the finality of the cliffhanger, you honestly shocked me as to how Ainz and Draconis's conversation quickly deteriorated and...the incident occurred. I certainly hope Draconis got out of this without losing Level but this is certainly a delicate situation so I shall be watchful but dang it all to the multiverse and beyond. Ainz's character is relatively the same as canon in which I am alright with but I certainly hope that you made him learned from 'this'. I noticed a certain 'flaws' in the character of both parties which I want to share with ya :) First, while Ainz is certainly attempting to do damage-control, all he does is making things worse. Detachment from those not of Nazarick certainly help him in control but dang it, he should already know that Draconis is sensitive to this. Still, I feel that you are alright in portraying him as such. He, who is used to be in control of things shall falter when inevitable crack started to form in his 'plan' and all comes to an end. His snapping and 'attacking' Draconis, his 'former' friend is certainly a departure from his anime/manga character but I think this makes it even better. He does not like being compared to his past, or references it for that matter and...his emotion-control failed him. This mistake will be costly, Draconis (and the Lair inhabitants), Lucia and Artoria once aware of this? They would not let this slide. I certainly would not. After Draconis recovered...There will be war. It is not a matter of if, only when. That makes it even worse when several of his followers; Cocytus, Albedo, Shalltear, etc. started to slowly yet certainly expressed opinions on this. Shalltear especially...She might even believe that there are 'issues' with 'Supreme beings' that lead to their 'disappearance'. She might even...thought that Ainz killed some of them in anger...just as he 'attacks' Draconis in a fit of rage (I refuse to believe that he died). Demiurge does not count since he is who he is but others especially Cocytus will start to wonder. This event served you well, I am looking forward to Ainz sorts things out in Nazarick, the character in questions? Not so much. Developments of NPCs is of great interest as of late and I shall record it.
The Character flaw of Draconis is shown for all to be seen. As Ainz pointed out along with you truly, Draconis is literally on his 'high-horse' so to speak. To be fair, however, Draconis is traveling the world, making the relationship among others which makes an entirely different experience from Ainz. 'Momonga' felt the obligation to his and his friend's memory and creations and sought to protect, nurture and spread their wing regardless of means. On the other hand, Draconis goes to see the New World and learned more about inner-working of things while Ainz adopted a more cautious approach. There is no right or wrong answer though and when it comes down to it...Draconis cannot accept that Ainz has a utilitarian approach whereas he is more of 'Nobless oblige'. You are right, Draconis's character is really getting things to spiral out of control real fast even if he is...in the right. He certainly needs to learn about the Grey area of things and try to convince Ainz of a 'better' ways. Still, I am glad that he forgive Cocytus for killing Esdeath, he just the following order even if he has blown it out of proportion. His character holds through to the end regardless of the cost. Hopefully, he will learn from this and see things from Ainz's POV too. Well, there is always a barrier between our souls which prevent us from fully understanding each other's heart. He who endured the trial of fire and ice shall be free of his prison and obtains the greatest treasure that is free-will. Infinite possibility, infinite danger. Your true trial has only begun. We shall wait for it, on the other side my friend.

A Commoner & Mad-Dan90 i agree wait you guys this reason why i like this fanfic and OC stuff.. some people can't accept and byaway, nah..look Canon or fanon someone need nerff or limited the Nazarick if someone can't do that lets this fanfic do the work just fine. (if you are true fans of overlord the author itself say "they like Rolf stomping and OP stuff as well" just in chase but most newbie are not aware about this mindset of the author), but i kind have filling deep interesting to OC rarther the Canon or original character and Canon timeline
P.s. For Reis Nailo don't lets this fanatic of nazarick stop you both me, Mad-Dan90, A Commoner, NecroSerpent10, Generation Zero and rest of us still here to support you up keep it up but don't look down

Among the reasons why a lot are complaining is because the citizenz of Nazarick are only themselves in name. Remember that Momonga decided to forego his dreams of exploring this New World for the sake of securing and nurturing the future of his children. This story has long been less of a fanfic and more an original composition with borrowed names and settings.

Please more of Ainz stomping Draconis. Draconis's personality is sickening. Ainz's specialization is not just necromancy but death magic itself. Let the New world and all transported players know/remember that.
