Daaaamn. Okay, so Draconis isn't exactly having the best time, I can see. I mean, not only is what Ainz did to him fucky but the shit with the First Sire really rocked him and not in a good way. So far, the cons outweigh the pro's. Of course, not just that. From what I know of OVERLORD, karma power is everything and for someone like him to not be able to raise it from where it currently is...? Oh, boy that's harsh. So...because of what Esdeth did it affected him by proxy? I...guess that can be true, hmmm. I mean, she's under HIS command and he commanded her to do whatever Ainz needed, not knowing what Ainz WANTED was to cause genocide to an entire people. Maybe that WAS flung back on him on technicality, dropping his rating even lower on top of that mass resurrection he performed.
But the thing with him not knowing how to proceed with helping his allies due to his power is smart but it sucks. I mean, he's right. Show a powerful figure...bring out a powerful figure to counter and give your allies more problems. That's a scale that needs to be balanced.
On Silverwind's camp, I think she might actually join up with Draconis' side after this. Well, she doesn't know it's HIS side specifically but when you see an overwhelming type of human that can outfight your best fighters and unleash [Weapon Skills] like that, wouldn't surrendering be the smarter move? I mean, what other course of action could you make if your Beastmen brothers and sisters don't lay down their arms? I mean, look at Rotfang's camp, lol. If he just listened to his underlings and wasn't so hopped up on the kill...but eh. I guess that's Beastmen.
I don't know why I'm getting Splinter Cell Metal Gear vibes from the 3 Rangers heading off into Beastmen territory with a storm brewing. Maybe because I know how important their stealth needs to be? Maybe because I've played quite a few Rangers in D&D and I know the kind of things they need to execute to gain the intel. I mean Rangers ARE one of my favorite classes, that's for damn sure. Hopefully, they can take down the magic barrier but I feel they're need to use that pistol instead.

Anyone else find his reasoning kind of stupid for not involving himself in the war? Other than fear, I haven't seen a good reason yet. If he doesn't want to be called a God then wear a mask, that simple, or don't fight where people are watching. This guy is supposed to be a big tough soldier, and yet he is afraid of meeting another player where he could die, what happened to running toward the danger? What's the difference between death by magic spell In the new world, and a bullet to the head in his old one? I don't understand his fear. He has so much more power now that it boggles my mind how he doesn't just turn into a dragon and eat a bitch. I would thi k his karma would drop since he KNOWS they are eating babies and he can stop it but doesn't. That just pisses me off. He turned into a chicken instead of a proud dragon. You say he isn't an armchair general, but all I see is a coward too afraid to do anything himself to change the situation. Once again, if he doesn't want to be worshipped, then transform, or wear a damn helmet, it's super easy to not be recognized, there is no way in hell someone who is supposedly intelligent didn't think of this. I also would like to know when he will revive esdeath? Since it's a guild function and he is guild leader, he should have the funds to do so right?

Gotta ask, any chance of him forming a harem? I hope he takes a dragon lover. She needs a man since she has been alone for 2 centuries.

DAMN! How long has it been since your last update...? Oh... Oooooh... Heh. Well, I'm just glad that you were able to this time. So then, let's get into it shall we?
Yikes. Draconis really is fuming. Yeeesh. The Fire Sire is a true, first-class arse for altering Draconis nature. "Bad timing" hardly describes it. Only good thing is that it gives Draconis an excuse to experiment with more of his abilities before something ELSE hits the fan. I wonder if those poor training dummies being restored again and again is putting a drain on his Treasury? Hmm... Questions for later. His NPC Cecilia bringing concerns of up him coming to save the day also addresses the matter of escalation. Sure, he can save their arses, but by that same token, once he does that, the enemy might be more inclined to pull something else out of their back-pocket. They somehow had something to create an [Anti-Magic Field]. It begs the question of what else they have. Especially if the enemy is led by a Player. Ditto for Luserina not being field commander material. She's getting an even more harsh lesson than Cocytus did.
It was interesting to see the POVs of the beastmen, now that they are actually meeting their match. Although the avian-types were more level-headed than the others to be sure. Then the fight started again, and it was appropriately brutal, given the circumstances. Especially when [Skills] and YGGDRASIL-grade weapons are in the mix. Just happy that they not only beat the beastmen back, but made a plan that involved more than just defending a hill. And although they'll still be revived later by The Lair's guildbase functions, it was hearting to see Draconis' NPCs worry for each other. As they head off into battle.
Ah, bummer that the chapter ended when things were about to get exciting again, but it's completely understandable. Especially when you're saying a change of address is in the cards. Best to get something out the door before IRL concerns complicates matters. Still, despite the shorter than average length, it was an enjoyable read, and hope that the next chapter comes sooner rather than later. Until then, this one gets a respectable 8/10. :)
Until next time~! ;)

When will Draconis get his Karma and levels back, this is getting bothersome, as well as that hex.
