Hogwarts teachers really are careless. Professor McGonagall was right. She should have supervised her students' transformations, especially since she sent them to the Forbidden Forest, which is forbidden because it's dangerous! Any legal repercussions should have fallen on the school (Unlike the Marauders, these kids didn't voluntarily take up this course of study. And thinking about it, they were either incredibly lucky or phenomenally talented naturals.). The cynic in me assumes that that's the real reason why Dumbledote didn't call in the aurors. The short, cloaked figure would be Peter Pettigrew, at a guess. Hermione and Snape will both regret missing that not-quite reveal.

Hurray! Thanks for the update. And yes, your Regulus is great- one of the few times I've seen him portrayed as equally attractive and flirty like Sirius. Very nice! Often, he's the angsty troubled one, but here, he's a leading man!

Ahhh! I love this fic!
Love the opportunity for Hermione to have a proper childhood, to befriend all these great characters as kids, and explore those friendship dynamics (young Hermione and snape as friends is so fun! He needs someone to be his loyal friend) and wow, sassy Remus is amazing!

You wrote him so hopefully, full of dreams and ambition and rather sweet, if mischievous. A wonderful boy. I almost wish you could drop young Sirius or James into this setting for a few days instead of them meeting on the train, all pureblood superiority and rich kid arrogance. Either one might have adored such a playmate and coadventurer. I know that isn't this story, but what a beautiful image of this boy in his awful yet loved home.

Wow. Remus catching on to Dumbledore's intent surprised me no end, but it's already making some exciting changes to this story. Who knew Tonks could channel her inner Black so well? I don't know if it was family loyalty, her interest in Remus, or a simple sense of justice, but watching her take the lead in the negotiations (well aware that she was defying the greatest wizard alive himself) has made me respect her.

I adore this story. This is one of my stories and I am waiting breathlessly for every single update so that I can devour the chapter and turn it over and over in my mind. I really like this story. The premise is not unique-Hermione going back in time- but the way you wrote it makes it a gem amoung other fanfictions. I really appreciate Hermione's strong character and a unwillingness to back down from her ideals being so clearly displayed. I really like that she made friends with the Slytherins despite the fact James is enemies with Snape. Thank you for writing it and please keep updating. :) Fighting
