Ohhhh! So they’re in the die house I see! Mugman is the most adorable little thing. He’s so open! Cuphead is rightfully wary and I can’t gelp but smile whenever Kind Dice does something nice for the boys. It’s like he’s an uncle! I like where Dice’s story is going. There’s definitely more to him than meets the eye. I’m hooked!

I really like the way you wrote King Dice here. Maybe he had some sort of past as well? He has a conscience and still keeps up his demeanor, he doesn’t break his character. I like that. Cuphead was also written quite well, but I feel he would’ve put up a little more of a fight as opposed to complying with Dice so quickly. Though when your cupbro is on the verge of shattering there really aren’t many options are there? In terms of the pacing, it was a bit too rushed at the end. I find it strange that King Dice could just waltz into the place with both brothers like that. You could’ve gone into more detail like perhaps He had to sneak them in and eventually carry Mugman himself while Cuphead kept close. Or maybe he had to trick some of the mini bosses in his fight like Mr. Wheezy the cigar or the Domino couple, into thinking that he was taking them prisoner or something. All in all, pretty nice first chapter! It’s solid but could use a bit of polish, so keep that in mind for future chapters. I hope this helps!
