I get a Abhorsen vibe when reading this story, it really does a good job of adding that mystical airy fae-ness. Probably helps that there's been no overt magic usage by Harry.

so, I know that you're continuing this story and harry potter and the heartlands of time, but are you going to continue your other two stories; an unfound door and all my love too long ago? those are good stories, and I really would like them to be finished.

Ah yes, the wizard Harry with his trusty clever canine companion and snarky skull-spirit advisor. I know this story. ;) (I still live in hope that you'll revisit your Dresden/Potter crossover. I am an optimist.)
Enjoying your fae-lore here, especially that Harry is not totally on top of it. Makes the whole thing more wonderfully eerie. One question: can Fae lie in this universe, or are they bound to tell the (literal, technical) truth? Harry speculated that the caravan man might have been lying, but was this just his ignorance?
