Well, for one I don’t understand how Mittelt would assume he’s a Hero. She’d usually go to a magician user, like other people who aren’t as cultured in other religions with the numerous Gods, heroes and weapons.
Shirōu also seems to be slightly OOC with the smirk and slight cockiness of Archer (GAR he is I say) since you mentioned that he was in a relationship with Rin, meaning that this is sort of bending the timelines a bit since they only ever got into a REAL relationship AFTER they graduated and moved the London to the Mage’s Association, UBW. After all, you said it was during the battle in Ryuudou Temple with Gilgamesh.
And if we were to go by this stories timeline, then if they did have an actual relationship (which shouldn’t be possible) then Shirōu wouldn’t have those traits, sure teasing thanks to Rin, but he’d be more on the idea of an Ally of Justic but also know he’s distorted and would be reminded of that - thanks to Rin, again, with her constantly drilling it in his mind - and wouldn’t go with the idea of being a hero. He’d more than likely deny the gesture than anything else.
The story has quite a few plot holes and wrong tellings on both the Nasu and DxD sides, even more so on the DxD side. I’m unsure why Mittelt was defeated so easily, sure she’s only a 2-winged fallen angel but she can pull her own against some of Rias’ peerage members. Sure they aren’t as experienced as Shirōu but to just be slammed into the ground is just too weak. She can take a few punches from Koneko, who is definitely stronger than Shirōu by a long shot (since his strength is almost or around Archer’s strength of D, even when reinforced), so at least make him summon a few nameless sword and either do a barrage or at least make him do something that’s more akin to his style of fighting and knock her out that way to make it less noticeable.
There are quite a few more inconsistencies I can mention for both sides but you can figure them out yourself if you truly want to get Shirōu’s character down better. Anyway, have fun. - TheShippingJR
