Hey, still rooting for you over on the Dust in the Wind spaces. Saw you update Eyes Like Monolith a while back. Hope you can come back with Pit Stop Ch 50 soon.
I honestly find Major Vickers my favorite version of Courier Six in fanfiction and often compare him to others like Dust in the Wind, Leave Nothing to Chance and what Vickers might do and act in some of those situations. In many ways asides from the "Crackhead Six" types is one of the strongest versions of Six even without Aura.
Or even Imagining Vickers in alternate scenarios like at the top of Beacon Tower during the Fall where Cinder is just about to kill Pyrrah but the a Booming voice calls out from the shadows "Ellie BELL!". Showing some of the first signs of fear in a long time Cinder slowly turns towards the voice and Major Vickers steps into view clad in his Desert Ranger Armor, his Helmet Optics glowing green and with a big iron on his hip.
You in part were one of the reasons I went from just Guest to Guest8492 (kudos if anyone recognizes the numbers). I may not be as active on your behalf but Buried in Ash still remembers over on dust in the Wind. I hope to see you back.

This cliffhanger is KILLING me. It seems like Roman retained his memories of the wastelands too, so the reunion between him and Six are probably going to be *rough*.

Really looking forward to see the next chapter - hang-cliff was insane. The fic is really good in terms of interesting character interactions and developments (though I hope that the Arkos ship should actually sail), world-building and combat.
It would be even cooler to see Remnanites use their new kits more, as they did in the 49th chapter, but also in terms of armor. Like, Jaune adopting Combat armor reinforced Mk 2 (good protection over the entire body fits the knight aesthetic), Ren and/or Blake dressing up in recon armor or stealth suit from Big MT, Pyrra picking up light Vault 34 Security armor and etc.
Again, really look forward to see the continuation of the story.

I didn't expect a whole lot from this cause it seemed sporadic in the beginning but after a while I got hooked. The whole dad courier is just amazing and I'm just kinda waiting for them to unironically call him dad.
Also the whole thing with Torchwicke, Cinder and Neo is amazing, I suspect Neo from the moment heterochromia was mentioned but the other two surprised me. Of course though I read this when it's on a cliffhanger as big as this one.
Hope to see this again soon cause this is awesome.

To Yes Man
Uhh; you're gonna have to be more specific.
I've been making more than half the reviews on this story since around late June...

Ok I've managed to get a bit of interest going over on the SB page of Dust in the Wind regarding Pit Stop and I've even managed to get a link set up directing to Ch 1 over here. Hopefully we get some reviews stating as such and my gift to Konstantinsen. Why you may ask; it's for giving me the experience of the Best Damn version of a Courier Six in all of Fallout x RWBY crossovers in my opinion. I know others have complained Vickers comes of as schizophrenic in how he treats the Wonderkids but those cybernetics and him being shot in the head seems to have done just that. He's literally talking to his own dark side at times and if he had his aura unlocked I'd probably be some kind of spectre that is able to act independently from him.
Plus as mentioned previously it *SOMEHOW* got me to Care about Neo (being the Prodigal Daughter helps) and not hold Cinder in absolute contempt and made Roman more sympathetic in addition to him already being the Magnificent Bastard trope.
I actually kinda wish for an Omake of sorts where Ted Vickers is dropped the Dust in the Wind Remnant. Maybe just a little bit where he's on the top of Beacon Tower just before Cinder is about to Kill Pyrrah a booming voice shouts out "Ellie BELLE!". Then Cinder freezes in abject terror, slowly turns around to see a huge man in Desert Ranger Armor with glowing green lenses emerge from the shadows a man known as "Old Green Eyes" with a big iron in his hand.

The Imperium Americana is essentially Vulpes Legion. Now since Vulpes Inculta was a member of Caesar's (Edward Sallow) inner circle he's well aware of how the wider world is, the lies of convenience told to hold it together and the stuff stored in the background "Just in Case". On top of him formerly being the head of Caesar's intelligence apparatus the Frumentarii; I highly doubt that he would fully buy that Mercury Black is in fact a God as he's too smart.
Some reviewers claim that everyone in the Legion is a slave but I disagree and have my own assessment. Caesar's Legion is a Cult and Edward Sallow and the Inner Circle are it's thought leaders that know the truth of the Con they are pulling. With fanatical cults it's far more common for the members to have the chains to be in their heart's and minds rather on their arms and legs. The Legionaries are the acolytes, their officers are the Preists and they follow the commandments of their Divine Prophet Caesar.

Using Waseland 2 to flesh out the background for Major Ted Vickers is definitely interesting, the Hoi4 Old World Blues mod does the same in places. Six should explain to Ruby what NATO phonetic alphabet code is at some point as indeed Echo isn't a color; it's the letter E.
Back to Wasteland 2; now who's the person that left the care package with Ranger Team Echo memorabilia, including what seems to be Tatiana's wedding ring? We haven't seen activity on the Desert Ranger front I Pit Stop for a while and seeing it again makes me wonder. Who could be possibly left that might leave this for Vickers? Unless one of Echo is still alive; Im not sure, at this point it's probably certain that General Vargas is dead either at the fall of The Flagstaff Ranger Cidadel or maybe in the Baja Uprising, most of the Old Alpha team is also probably gone but I do have an interesting idea but I'd be a slim one. Angela Deth; she can join Echo in Waseland 2 and if alive is probably one of the few survivors of the Rangers who's lost as much if not more than Ted Vickers. If Angela is still alive she would have lived long enough to see the Desert Rangers rise to it's peak of power only to be overrun by the Legion, have her old team Die, most of Echo gone, probably get slandered like the rest of Echo and Hell probably have team Delta get sent after her and Vickers then be forced to kill them (they wear black Stetson Hats like Ted does come to think of it). It's almost guaranteed she knew Nea, Ellie and Alex as well given her position in the Rangers and might have even helped train them. Angie must be a complete wreck at this point if she's still around and make Old Green Eyes look sane and stable at this point. Then again it's entirely possible that if she survived the Fall of Flagstaff she died in Baja like the others. Just some fun thoughts.

Now having gone back over this a 3rd time; I Cannot Believe how reckless the NCR was sending RWBY (soon -V) and JNPR-S into The Divide of all damn places! It is home to the single nastiest bunch of creatures in all of Fallout: New Vegas and as deadly of a Courier Six as Theodore "Old Green Eyes" Vickers is; there's no way even he'd be able to clean the entire place out and those Marked Men are case and point. Marked Men are a rough bunch of Customers with some rather nasty toys at their disposal and if they get The tiniest hint of radiation they regenerate their health absurdly fast. Then unlike most FNV players it wasn't the Cazadores that were the most terrifying opponents for me; It was the Divide Deathclaws. Ya know; the ones that can one shot even Level 50 players with their lunging attack no matter how much armor or HP you can normally get (unless you cheese the game to make an absurdly broken character or something).
Sure the Vegas Wonder Kids have got Numbers, aura and most have been training to fight since they were little kids. But unless Hsu and Crocker were overwhelmingly confident Six had literally rendered the Divide into a Tomb and they could just waltz into Ulysses Temple; you don't send Teenagers who've never killed a Man to what amounts to Hell on Earth.
Though I'm somewhat surprised the Marked Men Corpses haven't rotted away from when Six first came calling after Goodsprings as Wasn't that supposed to have been around 3 years ago? Well maybe it's from a more recent cleanup effort from Old Green Eyes...

Damn, for some reason fanfic bot just some day ago noticed me that this little treasure updated.
I like how things go, not how others went and I hope that the ones to come be wonderful.
I will be around waiting for this one and the herald to update, damn that was surprise when I found out both were yours.
