Great view of Ranger's darker side from his years of military and mercenary. I'm so glad that Steph explained how she felt about him "darkening his soul" to protect her and then cried for him.

Nicely done. Steph knows what he is capable of. I do like that she was worried about him not what he had done.

Good little short. I think it would be completely true as Steph knows what he is capable of even if she doesn’t like/want to admit it.

Liked that Ranger was steadfast in believing that he did the right thing. Steph going into shock is a normal reaction. Her thought processes needed time to catch up. That they are still strong after Ranger saving her from a certain death and her belief that any lives lost from his actions are justified shows her absolute faith in the honour of his ethics. Terrible incident and exceptionally well written. Thank you.
