Just In
for Gertie - The Outback Job

Another great read! Thank you. You're use of descriptive words paints such a wonderful picture of what the outback of Australia must look like. And you're right on the money about Buckley's cough medicine. Grew up on that vile stuff, but it works like pure magic on colds and coughs. I've not heard the name of Buckley's medicine in a few years, and about dumped my tea over myself when reading that scene. My sister I and I had done the same to my brother when he wouldn't drink the nasty stuff.
Your stories have a level of authenticity that is so often missing from most fanfics, and the memories that come to mind as I enjoy your story has brought laughter and tears to my life. Thank you!

Such an incredible story. I am beyond gutted that’s it’s finished now. I loved the references to the show throughout and I have completely fallen in I‘love with Wanpajara xxx

This is such a bittersweet ending because as sweet as it was I'm in just as much heart-wrenching pain as the team cause I don't wanna leave Wapanjara either! Ugh, I seriously wish they all existed and I was somehow a part of the team...ANYWAYS! Loved the whip lesson...the brotherly relationship between Hardison and Eliot is always written so well and so true to character. It was hard to watch Lizzie be all sad and depressed but honestly that's what I would have done. Love love love Soapy and Jo's steadiness that anchors everyone to Wapanjara. Effie totally WOULD be cranky at the end just cause that's how she shows she cares. Eliot's goodbye pulled on heartstrings I didn't even knew existed. I wanted to pull Kip into my lap and give him a tight hug and kiss his curls and let him know it's going to be all right and that we would be...er...I guess I mean THEY would all be back soon. Love how settled Nate and Sophie get while at Wapanjara and how accepted Parker feels. Glad Mei and the twins are now officially a part of the family...was sweet all of the work Hardison put into that (and how Soapy was appreciative for it). So hard to say goodbye (for now at least) to Charlie...love him to bits and how he fits into the family. Sigh, and I don't wanna leave Gertie or any of the other animals either...can we just not leave? Guess I should listen to Eliot's advice and hold onto the fact that leaving means you'll get to come back home. :) Truly, thanks for such an enjoyable read. Loved every stinking bit of it...even the parts that smell of camel. ;)

*SNIFFLE SNIFFLE* I hate to see this story end, but I know it has to so we can get to the other ones, that I want to read so badly! I had to read this one THREE times, to get through it all without being sad! I loved it though and can always go back and read it all at once though. (There's always a bright side). I have loved every part of this story like all of your other ones! *SNIFFLE SNIFFLE*

Thank you so much for this well written story. I hated for it to end. You are such a talented writer. I shed a tear as the team departed as well. Thank you again for your gift.

Hate to see this end, but eagerly awaiting the next. EAGERLY, I tell ya.

There are so many wonderful family things in here I just don't know where to begin...so I'll just say that I agree whole-heartedly with Effie and Nana about the microwave thing. Had one growing up, decided I didn't like it and I don't eat much pre-packaged food anyway, so to the dump it went, and I don't miss it!

Oh but I don't want to go home either! It's a long way to Christmas too. All good things must come to an end and all of that. I bet there are quite a few others out there that are going to miss that beautiful cattle station. Wouldn't it be great if we really could visit those wonderful people that you created for us. Thank you so very much for all your hard work so far.. I'm looking forward to more.

Wow, Leverage chapter Australia. Sweet!. Can Sam Elliot be Tom...puleeeze.
Okay so there is this thing for Sam, but still LOL. And Jake and Ezekiel need to come out and investigate an odd artifact that gets dug up while they are closing down the mine

YAY ANOTHER CHAPTER! Especially loved everyone teasing Eliot (I really love it when Jo does it in her own way...so cute). Lizzie with a crush is a hoot too...wonder if that will pop up again in the future. And for whatever reason Nate with a baby is a favorite as well, just so adorable...aw who am I kidding, it's all a favorite! More please! :)

Yay, Leverage: Australian Division is off to a great start!

Once again I loved the family feels, and the argument over the helmet, and Eliot's discomfort at being the center of those stories...I'll tell you, that was quite a mental image. THANK YOU for leaving his socks on :D

Way to go with the foreshadowing...not nice at all!

Definitely loved this chapter but then I've loved them all. The addition of Onslow I think will be hysterical. How fun it would be to sit with all of them listening to his stories about Eliot.
The details that you go into show how much research you do with your writing. When I first started reading this series it never occurred to me that you didn't live in Australia. If anyone deserves a long trip there it's you. The love you have for the country comes through in every chapter. I pray that you'll get that trip someday and somehow I'll bet that you find your own Soapy, Jo and Effie standing on a veranda at a cattle station.
Great job and thank you for the enjoyment you give. It's like a mini vacation with each new chapter..
