This is a interesting take on the doom slayer that I've never seen. The way he thinks sounds like he is thousands of years old, fights forever and was once a king of a techno-medieval society but i also feel he is less of the doomslayer that had all that personal stuff in the fortress of doom, but not necessarily in a bad way.
