At least you warned us that it was Buffy-bashing Xander-wank.

This is sweet, a shame it died.

To be fair, I firmly believe the creators of Buffy hated character development or perhaps got cold feet about it. Everyone grew and matured and then...regressed over the course of an episode or two back to square one. Then grew again, regressed again, repeat. Like Xander and Cordelia’s nonsensical break up because Willow and he kissed (and it looked like he was being molested by her not participating). Ignoring the emotional and fear of death involvement, he never had a thing for Willow until a few episodes prior to that event and then suddenly he’s only talking about Willow while making out with Cordelia. Which made no sense, especially given how much he loved Cordelia and didn’t even considered Willow.

Every character goes through this except Oz (who is basically a sideshow throughout) and Cordelia (who actually grows up more throughout the series).

Yep, you seem to have this on target. More believable and in character with the people than in the show. Keep going please.

Buffy and Willow can have meaningful roles in Xander's life if they can accept his relationship with Cordelia and that he wants to be involved in the fight against the Darkness. They'll only be damaging their friendships with him if they can not accept that.

It's a well written story. However, it makes no sense. All three of them acted like dunderheads throughout the series, and hormones caused the Fluke, not Willow casting a spell. Her magical abilities, save the soul cursing, at that time were very hit or miss. S3 Xander canonically had no real backbone towards his friends.

I was looking forward to reading this but it seems that as usual when it's a Xander focused story, Buffy and Willow are automatically the bad guys and they are dragged for what they did while he seems to get a free ride.
