Oh, goodness. This is so so good. My heart was aching from the moment I gathered where it was headed, but I didn't predict just how FAR it would go and that made it so much worse but also strangely kind of hot, the way you wrote it? I have such uncomfortably conflicting feelings right now.

You write creepy Gothic well. This story has an air of old silent black-and-white horror movie about it (I mean that as a compliment). I guessed what was happening fairly early on. Poor Erik, what a mess.

This story was deeply unsettling and so terribly heartbreaking all at once, all of it very well-executed. You conveyed some very dark, very complicated themes and emotions here in a tasteful and poignant manner - beautiful work!

Lovely descriptions here, very believable and realistic. I can see it happening easily.

I'm so glad that you have posted this again! :D I remember when you were first writing this story and you weren't sure about how it would go and we totally convinced you to go for the schmex! LOL
I love this story so much, which you already know, and it totally needs to be on FFN so everyone else can read it! It's the perfect mixture of hot, sweet, and sad. (And I have NEVER seen the original version of the stage show without thinking about this story after having read it!) Beautifully written and feels totally in character with Erik. It might be your first piece of fan fiction, but it's gorgeous!
