This fic is a blast! I binged through this entire fic in like two days and I’ve really enjoyed it.
I love how op Kirito is in this fic but also how believable and understandable it is for him to be so along with the feeling that is never and will never actually be safe ever.
I’m not a hardcore gamer but I do play some and the explainations of how the game works in this fic is very understandable to me and makes it believable that he could have gotten where he has.
I reread the fight scene in chapter 19 so many times and I enjoyed him just deciding he was going to win at everything forever and then just doing it.
For some reason the whole thing with Ill-Fang’s secret attack and all the Beta Testers that it probably killed was genuinely terrifying/horrifying (Kirito’s right, it is absolutely more terrifying when he’s trying to be sneaky about it).
Asuna and Kirito have such and fun dynamic and I enjoyed their interactions way more than I expected to. Asuna decided that she was going to befriend Kirito just like Kirito decided he wasn’t going to loose and I can respect that about her.
Arigo thinking that Kirito hates her is so sad, especially while her thought process shows that even if Kirito at least has very good reason to not trust her with the fact that he is an Orange player (I personally don’t think that she would turn on him if she knew the whole story but Kirito’s paranoia has been the only thing keeping him alive and he’s probably a bit traumatized what with accidentally killing someone and then being stabbed to a tree and left to die.)
Speaking of, Kirito’s certainty that he’s an awful person and just unlikable in general making him think that everything that Asuna said was a lie is so sad for everyone involved (not that I’m not hyped that he gets to solo the boss it’s just a bit depressing how it got there.)
As for Kayaba, I’m not going to lie, him having no clue what’s going on is a bit hilarious to me and makes me what to see him absolutely tearing his hair our over all the ways that Kirito will inevitably break his game. It does make me wonder about the wall of life though, did his name just appear on it out of nowhere a month and a half into the game without anyone noticing it?
Anyway, this fic is great.
If you do ever try publishing more chapters I will definitely read them but thanks for ones you already put up, im glad I get to read them.

Stayed up all night to read this. No regrets, this is seriously one of the best fanfics I've ever read. The world building and the details about how the game works are amazing. Really cool to see how you portrayed all the characters, and I look forward to a update someday.

I reread this basically constantly- it's been years since I first found it and my love for the fic hasn't gone away. I know you last updated this several years ago and there's no way in hell you ever will, but I still just wanted to say I love this fic so much. Every chapter has been a gift, and the fic itself has inspired so much of my own writing.

Ah, this story preserves what's so enjoyable about a game. The more XP you have, the more opportunities, and the more infinite the ceiling appears. It is not boring to be the strongest. It is exciting, even in a situation like this one.

Kirito just reached the multiplier point of the crimes. The XP's going to be huge. So will the future challenges. With more XP, comes more danger, even if you're high-level.

Wow. Another amazing chapter. Your writing is concise, yet I do not feel like I'm missing any of the details; I get the full picture: visualization, characterization, etc.
I really like Kirito's efficiency-oriented mindset. It conveys the sense of extreme danger that he is in, that other fics, despite having the same circumstances, do not do adequately. I genuinely hate when a character is in a life-or-death position, or has an opportunity that could set up everything in the future, and they do it lazily or not at all. Kirito has a proper beta-tester mindset, lol.

Ah, what a fucking concept! I love the Ripple Effect for this. It's so entertaining. I like your characterization of Kirito - that gamer part of him that was never really there once he learned the consequences of the game.
