A pretty good chapter, although some things seemed to be off... there are gaps and some pretty major hypocrisies in Harrys treatment of Hermione this chapter. If these were intended them that's fine, as it is pretty realistic for someone who isn't very introspective or someone who is rather impulsive (and canon Harry is).

I think you are absolutely correct in the reason Harry seems to have so few friends.
no one want to associate with Ron and especially not Granger. While Ron is unpleasant, Granger is an obnoxious, self righteous harpy who never listens to anyone and doens't have a thought in her head that isn't straight out of a textbook.
I bet if Harry was waiting in Granger's room and she came out of the bath room in nothing but a towel she'd ahve screamed the whole city down, yet she thinks it acceptable for her to do it to Harry, much like she charges into the boys dorm at Hogwarts whenever she wants.
