You should make a updated Alcphol chapter, Michaels Northern Water Vodka and Brandy have definitely reached the south with the merchant fleet and if one thing is true Westerlanders love wine so a new fancy beverage will be a huge hit though I think they would hate vodka, brandy is definitely going to be big I expect a similar yet not as enthusiastic outcome in Dorne as their not as wealthy as the Westerlanders but just as if not more obsessed with comfort.

The link for the map doesn't work for mw and I've never been on AO3 before. I did look the site up though and will probably sign up.

Interesting conclusions, but I think your yields per field is much too low for a 3 field system. 8 bushels per acre is the type of yield you would see from a 2 field system not a three field. I recommended the paper Low Yields of Corn in Medieval England by W. Harwood Long. It has a graph of average corn yield from 1250 to 1860 and you can see the yields spike after each system is adopted. 12-13.6 is the likely average yield range for a three field system. 28 is about the max you'll get from a four field system pre modern pesticides and chemical fertilizer. Awesome take on this though!

Really liking the story and looking forward to this companion piece. Just wondering if you have thoughts on methods like the Ruth stout or three sisters gardening.

Great chapter! I thoroughly enjoyed reading it.
Will Michael perhaps began establishing mines and lumber mills in the applicable areas of his territory, and or began the industrial revolution of the north?
Can't wait to read more chapters of A

Let me open by saying that I appriciate you taking the time to explain this to us and that the content was good. I just have a bit of grammar advice, your last sentence is incorrect. You should have written “There are a lot of rivers within his territory due to runoff coming from the mountains.”. You need to match plural words in this case, don’t say “ is a lot of rivers” but rather “are a lot of rivers”. I’m not trying to be rude, just want to help. I hope to see more of the story soon, keep up the good work.

Great story. I love this type of “fix-it” stories. I saw your list things you introduced and I would like add rabbits breeding for meat and pelt.
Thanks

Going with your them of songs, to play those songs requires modern scales and chords, unless Westoros already had them, the would likely have equivolents to medieval tempering, though since the south is full of followers of the Seven they would likely already have seven tone octaves.
