I binge-read it the last 5 days and it caught my breath. I felt like my real life was when I was going back to the world you created — with your characters. Oh, your Hermione. Oh, your Draco. Everything was so beautiful and painful at the same time. You write your characters' emotions so raw and vividly, I was them, I was in their pain, in their love, that intense, fusion-like, love. And the plot, omg, the PLOT i want your genius brain. Where did all your ideas come from? You're a goddess.
I feel so empty now. I just want to cry, I don't want to leave them on their island, only the two of them forever — even though this love is entirely self-sufficient. Thank you for Aurore too, I just wish I could see her succeed in revealing the world how her mother had lived her war and made the victory possible. To end on that note... dually tragic, in your story, and in our world where so many hidden figures who fought and offered us that world are only sad smiles on a forgotten picture.
I also found all your psychological insight truly powerful and real. Everything felt raw and true. The underlying reflection on war, on feeling different and excluded, on loneliness and the way whe shut ourselves from everyone, on the painful side of love — I breathed it all and found it so interesting and powerful and meaningful. I’m not a huge Dramoine shipper but holy shit, this made my whole body ache.
I don’t know how you did it but every single death had me a wreck. Especially Harry. You did an almost scary job of making us feel Hermione’s grief. I was sad to see Snape didn’t make it out but I absolutely loved the plot twist with Ginny/James. The injustice at the end made me feel a whole new world of hurt. Bravo, this was excellent.

this is a brilliant story. I'm glad Draco and Hermione survived, as well as Aurora. I wonder what would have happened if Lucius hadn't breached Hermione's mind. I think she's lucky she has memories. It's sad that she was a footnote and that people would never know just how hard she fought and sacrificed, same goes for Draco, he didn't want to do it. when your 16 and have to watch your mother tortured and then kill someone or she dies, there was really no other choice for him. if he asked for help Narcissa would have been tortured longer and/or killed. he may have killed the order members but better death than the torture that they would have and that some did endure. thank you for sharing such an amazing story.
