I’ve read a few of your other stories that I’ve loved so much (the Stubborn series) so I decided to give this one a go. First, I really liked your disclaimer about how he wouldn’t be calling her his little whore/slut since I wasn’t aware that was a thing and it seems like it would cheapen it. I glossed over the smut but I really like the background and context. The thing that actually helped me the most was when Rosalie was wondering if they were human mates and likened it to Carlisle and Esme. I really loved the Cullens’ point of view. I’m glad Bella was able to have Jake as a friend since they need somebody that knows. Maybe in another life/probably not in the future, if they find out about the shifters/Cullens she could know that the Cullens, bar Edward, are aware and see them more as mates. This was indeed interesting. I don’t think that anyone else could have pulled it off so well without it just being pwp/weird.

Well, I liked the view as a mating bond and I thought the interactions sweet.
I have mixed feeling about the incest thing. I mean, I don't see it as right and it looks weird to feel this way about a parent. However, where is this weirdness feeling coming? From society, moral or religious construction? If one didn't know the father or mother, could feel atraccted to that person, like on those stories about siblings? I don't know. It's not good biologicaly speaking, since the genetic pool would diminish, so maybe there's a kind of genetic mechanism that make us normally, feel unatracted by our close family? Aaaanyway, besides what any religious compass say, it's not my place to judge , mainly if both are aware and willing. That's their problem, not mine.
Thank you for trying this. I think you were able to explore this subject in a sensible way, not a porn phantasy version, degradating one or both of the involved.
And oh well, Edward is Edward, a douche hahahaha

Wow! You did a great job with this story! Like you, I don’t condone this type of relationship but this is fan fiction. I enjoyed reading about Jake, his point of view and how he and Bella were able to develop their relationship. I loved the parts with the Cullens, especially Rosalie’s theory and Jaspers interpretations of their feelings. What really made it special was the love they shared and their inner struggles and courage. In this story I believe that if they had been vampires, they would have been mated. Thank you for taking the time to write this.
