Very nice, like how this slots neatly into the episode just as if it could have happened (I love fics that 'fill in the blanks' like this, as long as they are believable of course - which this is!)
I particularly liked the reasons they all had for being there :-) And Sam and Callen filling Deeks in on how Kensi would feel about them being over-protective because he doesn't know her that well this early on in the series. One of the best things about Kensi's character (and the thing I hate most about the whole Densi thing 'diluting' her) is that she has never NEEDED anyone else to protect her, fight her battles etc, she is a sassy, capable agent in her own right, regardless of her gender!
