Very nice.
You got the mindset of the Jedi baby snatchers down pat :)

Good chapter.

missing the closing double quote after Tatooine (there is another quote afterwards, if in fact you meant to leave it off...)
Same thing after saving
'so why didn't he know' (instead of 'why not him')

this is another interlude oriented chapter (pair)?

Interesting Details and The POV of such a Livestyle.

Loved the subtle nuances of the slave psychology.

Nice chapter and the whole sexual slavery is a huge problem here in my hometown so much that the AG has established an anti-human trafficking initiative.

(1) as always, freaking out over your writing. its so,, good,

(2) i love how much thought you put into the mental/emotional sides of things and the way that upbringing can affect a person’s decisions way of life.

(3) i would take a bullet for owen.

This would have been so much easier if Fanfic didn't hate linking to outside websites with a passion. It seems that Fanfic is a jealous god and shall have no other god before it.

Oh, and fantastic update. It is important to note the differences between someone born a slave and born free. Poor Anakin, thought he had to earn his right to live from the moment he was freed... and only truly earned it at his death, saving his son.

You know, often have to wonder if Anakin ever tried to find his mother's family.

Very interesting, and a well done story!

And once again, just how much could have been different the first time around if the Jedi were less ignorant... Of course Palpatine was always going to try to turn Anakin and Anakin was always going to have issues, but one has to wonder if perhaps more empathy, open-mindedness and understanding from the Jedi could have saved them all. And I like how this story makes it clear that yes, a part of it was perhaps due to them clinging too fondly to their traditions and dogmas, but mostly they just didn't understand what they were dealing with when it came to Anakin, given how extremely different their backgrounds were.

Anyway, this was an amazing and very touching addition to the universe. I really love this whole series.

This was very well done. I really like the idea of a conversation with Shmi showing Mace how little he understands Anakin's mindset

Open communication strikes once again to break down barriers of misunderstandings that cause canonical disagreements and problems! This was nice to read, especially from the perspective of someone like Mace, who's generally portrayed as a somewhat conservative hardliner when it comes to Jedi traditions. Looking forward to the next part!

This is a little gem: in character and compelling. Thanks for sharing.
