okay so I remember reading this last year and for the longest time I spent so much time trying to find this story on the internet because I could only remember the premise, and I oh my GOSH I can't even...omg...like I don't know where to even start with this?! It's so...perfect? I'm sorry honey, but I HAVE SO MUCH FEELINS ABOUT THIS and holy shit. I...omg...my brain just melted, I'm speechless. I even wrote all the things I wanted to preach about but after reading this, ooooooooooooooooooommmmmmmgggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggg. Anyways, the short version of this is...I love it. I freaking love it. I 100% wike story is the type of fic you say "okay, I'm going to SLOWLY read this and ENJOY it" and next thing you know you're already on the last chapter at three am and you're craving for more. What can I say, my brain full of dopamine and serotonin and adrenaline at this moment because I really wike it and would love to know what happens next, but of course that's me being greedy so ignore that last part. I'm in love. I wonder if this is how Mr Darcy felt for Elizabeth Bennett, cuz im SPEECHLESS. Like if this story was a pill, I'll totally overdose. Wait, wrong analogy, wtf- ANYWAYS, I LOVE THIS, and I a total random person from the internet give you a MILLION KUDOS for this A story. I'm going to stop writing because I think I'm making a fool out of myself with this non-sensical rambling but I LOVE THIS STORY MUCH AND AGGGGHHHH! THANK YOU FOR SHARING! WITH US! I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE THIIIIIIIIIIIIIISSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

I start it. I read more and more eagerly. I think 'two more chapters... Things can get resolved in that amount of time'
They don't.
I think 'one chapter. Sure, that's cutting things a bit close, but I've read authors that do that all the time.'
I'm halfway through chapter thirteen 'maybe it will go long...'
Face to face, as Batman and Talon.
*I burst into tears* "I don't care if that's actually a pretty good ending, all things considered...I WANT MORE! I want Tim to be happy again!"
So, yeah. I really like your story. I don't know if you're ever going to do more on it, but if you do... I just made two kinds of cupcakes?

Hey! I love how you've characterised the characters, how you change between the two points of views. Though I'm not sure, was Lonnie Martian Manhunter or not?Anyway, I've noticed that you've started new stories but haven't updated this one in a while, have you abandoned it? please tell me no! specially not when you've left in such a cliffhanger! please continue!

I absolutely love this! I cannot wait for the next chapter! It's going to be so interesting to see how Batman and Tim react to each other.

this is an incredible story, I love how you've written Bruce and Tim in a believable way. Are you planning on continuing or have you abandoned this fic?

So this review is going to be a bit short, because I seriously can't believe I somehow missed three chapters to this story? and also I spent around four/five hours doing maintenance on an exhibit at the aquarium where I work, so... a valid excuse? Lol!
Anyways, there are several things I wanted to mention before the closing of this review:
1) the symbolism with the owl catching the bat. One of the things I loved about the Court of Owls storyline was how they kept bringing up that point about owls being the natural predators of bats and this particular nod towards canon gave me chills. Excellent job.
2) Tim figuring out Bruce is Batman- and managing to make it AU and canon at the same time. HOW? SERIOUSLY HOW DO YOU DO THAT?
3) Your imagery is, as always, flawless.
4) Jason is dead. JASON IS DEAD. Several chapters ago, I speculated as to whether or not Talon and Jason might die and I hoped I was wrong and now it appears that I was right and MY HEART CANNOT TAKE IT, ALRIGHT?
*cries*
This is honestly the best Talon AU out there. I can't stress that enough.

Ooooh this chapter. There are a bunch of things that I want to point out about this one!
First off, I just love how you described everything in this chapter. From the very beginning when you're talking about how Tim feels and all about his mission, the words are just perfect. I live for your descriptions because they are so beautiful and intense. I know where to look if I want to read something with prose that is engaging and pretty!
And of course, only a few lines into this chapter and I get hit right in the feels as Tim contemplates the idea of smashing into the concrete. This poor boy. I'm actually glad he was in the middle of a murder mission so he couldn't follow that thought any further.
I can't believe I forgot about Lonnie, but I love his inclusion! The backstory blends together nicely with this story line you've got going on. And I just loved Tim's reaction to his words, trying to figure out that he'd been caught in a trap and going through all of the possibilities. And then Lonnie completely disappears and he really has an 'oh crap' moment. Loved the execution of this!
I also really appreciated the inside look at Bruce. He's clearly been patient about his plan coming together, and I'm intrigued by the fact that he's hurt. Are he and Tim going to fight and Tim escape because he's injured? Or will that injury add another element to their meeting? I've got a couple ideas but I'm very curious as to what that detail means for their encounter.
And! Tim's! Reaction! AHHHH. This is such a cliffhanger but I also love the image of Batman and Talon Tim just regarding one another, Bruce being all intimidating and Tim wishing he wasn't there. I am so excited for the next chapter!

Darn darn darn it I knew it was Lonnie darn it I just totally forgot that he was a Ankary as well, darn that was such an amazing chapter .So let’s break it down: the introduction ,man the introduction was out of this world it was like waking up from a dream it was magnificently writing, the way it eased to the body of the chapter was amazing , the whole chapter felt like seeing a great movies and one of your greatest descriptive moments yet, very clever plan and you opened up in the middle of the fry which was so cool.I couldn’t leave the screen I was reading and reading and reading you captured my attention fully I can’t say enough . I wanted to cry when Bruce showed up at the end I felt how desperate Tim was that was such an awful situation , I guess betrayal is the worst feeling and This what I imagine Tim feeling right now, the chapter was really short especially considering the ending was aaaaaaaaah! I don’t know about the word count but I want moreT-T, amazing amazing chapter and loonie was killing it too !. Can’t wait for more !

Duuuuuuuuuude that was out of this world, it was such a good chapter and may I add that I looooved that you started where we ended last chapter is was magnificent, I cannot describe how amazing Bruce reaction to Jason’s death was, I really don’t have the words, really well done, love how you made Bruce piece it together, it was very clever and smooth. But darn ,even though,I really missed Tim this chapter, I felt it was reall Necessary to dedicate a whole chapter for Bruce especially following Jason’s death, but I just can’t wait for the upcoming chapter for two reasons:1 the lack of Tim in this chapter 2 I can’t wait for Bruce’s plan to commence. Things are finally catching fire aaaaaah I am so excited, can’t wait. Have a nice day

Loved this so much! I've been wondering about what's going on in Bruce's head, and I'm happy we've gotten to look inside his mind and see what's happening.
Honestly, I feel so bad for him, having to relive that over and over. It's interesting to see where you're taking this, as it doesn't look like Bruce has lost his mind like he did in the original continuity when Jason died. I like seeing Bruce being able to grieve and feel the impact but still working on a case with a somewhat clear head. You can see that he's still shuffling through the pain and struggling for it to not consume him entirely.
Also, Tim committing the murder! We've seen how Tim strikes and gotten a glimpse into how his skills have improved. Tim is sneaky, thinking that Bruce has no idea someone is catching onto his identity, but he can't outsmart the Bat entirely. I am greatly enjoying the opposite sides to this, and seeing how they're coming together. Tim may know Bruce's identity, but Bruce knows about him, and so it's making for quite the encounter, which I am so excited for.
Pfft, Alfred though. I like how he brings some lightheartedness to the story. We all need a little bit of Alfred's sarcasm from time to time.
I've got no idea who the "M" person is and while I'm tempted to look it up I'm just going to wait and keep the suspense going. I'm pumped for where this next chapter is going to take us! I totally went back and read those last few lines of chapter seven to refresh my memory and AHHHH! I need this face-off/meeting/encounter/whatever this is going to be. This story is so wonderful and I can't wait for more!
