Awesome story, though I think all love stories between Phobos and one of the Guardians are odd, especially when they're not aged up. The man has got to be in his late 20s at least! Though I have to agree that they make a good couple, at least on paper. Pairing up Phobos and Will is also popular. I've always wondered how it will turn out if Phobos won, and how he'll win in the first place. Having him keep the Crown of Light with him and not with Cedric was the perfect solution. Though I'm a bit puzzled by one thing. How can Phobos, even with the Crown of Light, be more powerful than the Oracle?
As to how this would end, I'd think Cornelia will eventually give in, though she'd always be thinking of ways to overthrow him. I think this will also push the other Guardians to really examine their powers and to think how they can be used to their full extent. Especially Will, because the Heart of Kandrakar is supposed to be one of the most powerful objects in the universe! Nerissa almost took over Kandrakar for crying out loud! I can imagine Will going full-blown Nerissa in her attempts to save Cornelia. Perhaps Yan Lin will even tell them about Nerissa and what powers she discovered so the Guardians will be able to save Cornelia and put Elyon back on the throne. Can please write a sequel, pretty please?

Tragic, but superbly well handled. Not the easy sappy romance here or the distant unrequited longing. No, you took the hard way and wove it together wonderfully.
As for endings...Cornelia is strong like rock. But even rock can be eroded with time. I think she will eventually fall to despair and probably die at her own hand. Either that or be successfully rescued by the rebellion. Either path will take years to reach. There's also the possibility that she will become his mistress, becoming his sexual partner and bearing his children, but refusing to marry him.
Phobos's regime will fall. Eventually. And economics will play a major role. People who have nothing to lose can only be held back for so long. Most likely there will be not one, but several failed rebellions before he falls and this will be followed (probably) by bloody civil wars for many years afterwards. (Without Elyon and the Guardians holding the rebels together I suspect that this would have happened in canon) He may not even live to see the fall of his regime, dying an old man in his own bed. At any rate, we're looking at a long time with Phobos in charge.
Meridian will be scarred for centuries, with deep and perhaps permanent divisions across across the planet. Royalty will no longer exist and the idea of a single world government (as seen in the comics and show.) will remain toxic.
A few idealists may romanticise the good old days and the rebellion, but they will remain fringe elements rather than mainstream politics.
Sorry, went off on a tangent then. And a plot bunny. Or several. Keep writing

I'm speechless, I really don't know how to begin, or where. But forst things first, thank you very much for this incredible story, english is not my mother language and I had some problems with some paragraphs, but I understood the hole picture. And it is amazing!
How Cornelia actually liles to speak, sometimes okay, but the does speak with Phobos, and you show me a new face of him. A part I couldn't even star to imagine when I read WITCH when I was young, and actually I like it very much.
Holy shit, because of this fic I would probably have a crush with this couple haha.

That was... Holy shit! Intense doesn't even begin! I remember a little of WITCH, so I went back to read it online just to read this! And was it worth it! I had forgotten how I loved that, so thank yooou! And... Damn, I have no words. I feel so sorry for Cornelia, like, fuck this, she is just fifteen, too young to deal with all that. I love to see how she doesn't seem to be falling for Phobos (even if his love is true, look at all the shit he has done! He crossed all lines!), even if there are times he gets closer to her. I dunno if it's loneliness, or seeing a new side of him, but I'm happy she doesn't fall! It was a rather new take to this sort of dark love, I mean, being sincere and all. Most of the others have the person in love seeing the other as an object or being uncaring of what they feel, to the point of rape. Phobos seem to truly want to make her happy, despite his actions. HELL, why did you go and made him so... So human? Kidding, loved that. It makes him less one dimensional, and adds depth!

Essa fic me pegou desprevenida... Nunca tinha pensado no Phobos com a Cornélia, mas, uau, como gostei disso. De princípio tinha achado que seria apenas uma one, e agradeço que terão mais capítulos. Ainda leio devagar por causa do idioma, mas tô melhorando. "Aproveitando" essa breve greve e o tempo livre pra conseguir ler com mais calma, que ai a coisa anda.
Gosto de ver como sua escrita evolui... Como a nossa maturidade influencia na escrita, na história. Ao mesmo tempo que é uma situação bem difícil pra Cornélia (a imagino um pouco como a Bela, da Bela e a Fera, mas com mais história, mais emoções... Toda a questão da guerra, da Elyon e tudo mais.
