36Zero Slash One
A very good piece of work. From start to finish, the story (or what I hope is just one chapter of a greater piece) proves itself brilliantly satirical and deconstructive, a scathing jab at parts of the fandom.
The Golden Radiance, rather than some greater good figure, is shown to be thoroughly mad, obsessed with Daisuke, to the point where it twists events around in its recollection - giving Daisuke sole credit for Kimeramon's defeat where that was actually Magnamon and Wormmon, and for the defeat of BelialVamdemon where many others contributed - and demonizes everybody other than him (Hikari, Takeru, Miyako, Iori). It even goes so far as to label him "Perfection incarnate".
As well as obsessive, it's depicted as deeply paranoid - directly stating that he does not trust his sister, despite their common origin - and not a little arrogant. Self-deluding enough to tell itself "they are sealing me along with her, a noble sacrifice on my part" when ENIAC and Yggdrasill more likely shared a glance and locked the psycho up in a padded cell with his fantasies.
All of which run together to tell us one thing: Nothing in the definition of a miracle makes it good. It's just an extraordinary and near-impossible event. Deus Ex Machina as much as Diabolus Ex Machina.
At least, that's what I hope the intention here is. If the Golden Radiance is supposed to be right and accurate in its judgments, then holy crap NOOOOOOO, and the author needs to rewatch the series rather than just listen to the fandom memes.
Taking it as satire, I very much look forward to seeing further installment of this, and the 02 kids (Hikari, Takeru, Miyako and Iori getting accurate characterizations to disprove its mud-flinging) kicking its ass good.
