I love it, but I think that you underestimate the lack of water, and the need for it. In the original book, Katniss was walking around for only a few hours, and was in desperate need of water, but here some of your characters aren't drinking, or maybe they are and you just don't say anything about it. Ariana - I guess the mysterious angle will be good for Ariana, although it will be hard to pull off. I bet Ariana can, though. Hopefully she doesn't come off as bitter or irritated instead of mysterious...
Wyatt - If I were Trisha, I'd just give up. Wyatt's a lost hope. No matter what, he's just going to insult the Capitol and get everyone to hate him, so she shouldn't waste her time. I'm expecting Wyatt's interview will be a disaster.
Juno - The crown's kind of creepy, but it suits Juno. She seems difficult to train into being polite, but I think it's unnecessary. If she's just herself, most Capitolites will love her. Most of the time, they love bloodthirsty Careers.

Yep, the Gamemakers definitely got some revenge on Erin but I doubt that will be all. Alyx got a 5, which isn't too great, but isn't too bad either. Her ally got a 7, though, which will definitely be helpful. I'm suspecting Rois got a low score on purpose, but maybe I just had high expectations for her.

Marine - I love how Marine was all shaken up about the dream until she remembered it was time for her private training sessions and she was like, "yay!"
Blaze - Blaze's training session seemed to go well, despite missing the dummy once. That will probably make him lose a point or something, which isn't good. I'm sure the Gamemakers are looking for perfection, which Blaze didn't have.
Livia - Aw Livia and Alyx comforting Marco is adorable. Well... not adorable, since his son just died, but it makes me root for them even more.
Erin - That's not great for Erin... I'm sure the Gamemakers won't forgive and forget. They'll definitely target her in the arena for breaking all of the windows. I'm a bit impressed that she was able to do so, but it was a bad decision and one that will cost her.
Verin - An 8's really impressive for Verin, but Carlina's 4 is definitely not good. That will definitely lose her some sponsors and her odds are going to drop a lot. I'm also pleased to see that Octavian got lower than both Marine and Juno, despite being the leader.

Ariana - Honestly, I think Ariana's a little obtuse. I don't know why she wouldn't consider the fact that she could die if she volunteered for the Hunger Games, especially since she doesn't like them that much. I don't hold much pity for her, since she volunteered for this without thinking out the possible consequences.
Scorpius - I hope there are riddles in the arena. I love riddles! I'm surprised Juno didn't get in trouble for punching Scorpius in the face right away. He was kind of asking for it, though. You shouldn't insult a Career, especially one from District 2 (who are normally short-tempered and can pack a punch). And of COURSE, Jess comes to the rescue. She's some comic relief.
Jess - Yeah, Jess, that was a bad idea. First of all, why are you so upset when Scorpius says you weren't his girlfriend? That's not an insult, that's basic logic. You're not dating, so you're not his girlfriend. I have a little more respect for her after standing up to Juno, though. That was still a stupid move, because there's no way Juno will be the first to die in the arena.
Beckett - I've already mentioned that I don't think it's a smart idea for Beckett to team up with them. While they seem trustworthy, you never know. Plus, they're clearly close, which means if it gets down to the end, they'll probably team up against him.
Maylee - That was kind of an awkward conversation, since Jon has been saying stuff along the lines of "I don't want to kill you but I might". It's sweet, but terrible timing. Personally, I think Jon would be better in the Bloodbath, since he can defend himself.
Kala - Poor Kala, she was sort of backed into a corner. She can't really say no, but teaming up with Nathan is not a good choice. He'll be a burden for sure. He barely has any skills, and can't help Kala out.
Marine - I like this friendship between Juno and Marine. But Jess had better watch out in the arena. She has definitely painted a target on her back. It was smart of Marine to avoid being the pack leader, because it definitely does endanger you. Plus, she wouldn't want to get in the middle of all the Octavian/Juno drama.
Tom - There goes my boy Tom. I can't say I didn't see this coming (the first time I read this), but I was surprised to see him go before the actual Games. The whole plot with Marco is really interesting, though, and I'm glad he gets to be a part of something so exciting.
Nemo - Seeing everyone's reactions is interesting. Especially Jess, who I didn't expect to be crying.

Rois - Erin was a bit rude. Rois was only trying to help her out. I think whether or not she correctly matches the yellow vials is fine, because either way, she knows not to consume them and give them to her enemies. But it would be good if she found a weapon she could use because she's right; survival skills are no use against a Career.
Juno - Ha, I'm glad that Octavian got some humility. His prideful nature and over-confidence was starting to bother me. It's nice to know that Juno could take him in a fight if it came down to it, which it certainly will. Even though Octavian is the leader of the Career pack, the knowledge that Juno can beat him in a fight will probably make him go easier on her.
Alyx - No, Alyx, no! That's such a terrible idea. Whether or not you pity Wyatt, it's still not a good idea to team up with him. He's like a rabid dog - he can't control himself; you can pity him but don't team up with him. I'm sure Livia won't be pleased that Alyx brought crazy Wyatt into their alliance.
Jon - Jon is starting to bother me. He needs to stop talking about how he's considering killing Maylee. Even though he doesn't want to and is trying to resist the temptation, the fact that he's tempted is concerning.
Wyatt - Yep, Alyx, this is why you shouldn't let a boy with schizophrenia into your alliance, no matter how much you pity him. I sort of feel bad for him, too, since he doesn't really want to kill them, but he's planning on it anyway. Because of that, a lot of my pity is trumped, especially since it's my tribute and my favorite that he's planning on killing.

I think this could be a strong alliance, mutually beneficial, but both seem sort of irritable and have a temper, which might cause some fights. As long as they stay calm and kind to one another, this alliance will be powerful.
Albin - I'm glad Carlina accepted Albin, because if she didn't, she would have dropped all the way to the bottom of my chart. It's kind of amusing to see that my prediction about the Rois/Erin alliance came true only a paragraph after I said I thought they would bicker a lot. Unlike Rois and Erin, I think Carlina and Albin will get along well.
Angelica - Ouch. That was painful for Angelica and Cole to hear. I guess it was necessary, though, because now they know to make themselves more interesting by adding someone to their alliance. Tom - Ugh Miava's comment bothered me so much. She really needs to be more considerate of all of her tributes, especially since it's District 8, which is not a wealthy District at all. Tom's attitude is kind of depressing, but in his case, it's very accurate.
Blaze - Ooh, there's already a power struggle in the alliance. I feel as though this might come back later. Even though Octavian wins, I doubt Juno's going to be taking orders from him. There are too many dominant Careers in the pack this year, which is always a sign for destruction. I like this friendship between Blaze and Ariana, though. I hope this grows.
Octavian - Even though I don't like Octavian, he did win fair and square. She shouldn't let her guard down, especially to this obvious manipulative liar. And clearly, the fake knife wouldn't hurt him. Juno better get used to this, or she'll die too early. I am really excited for the drama between Octavian and her, though. This will be an exciting rivalry.
Carlina - I don't have much to say about this alliance yet. They seem like they could be a good fit, but it seems premature to jump into an alliance. Tributes do it all the time, which I think is a mistake on their behalf, but luckily, both of them seem pretty trustworthy.
Cole - After this, I have really low expectations for Angelica. It's one thing to be inexperienced at something, but she shouldn't just give up. She'll never survive the Hunger Games without the determination to at least learn how to use a weapon. I'm glad Cole finally plucked up the courage and asked her to align with him, but they should stay out of trouble; they might be good at survival stations, but if they meet another tribute they're doomed.
Livia - Yay, Alyx has an ally! And her knowledge of poisonous and edible plants will definitely be useful in the Hunger Games. Her medical knowledge is definitely coming in handy, and I'm glad she aligned with Livia, who is one of my favorites. I'm now rooting for Livia instead of Albin (although, I still love him) because she's teaming up with my girl.
Verin - Verin has got some nerve, although I'm also counting it as a bit of stupidity. While I admire his ability to not care who he annoys, it's probably not a smart choice to insult the leader of the Career pack. He's likely to die somewhat soon, or at least in the middle, unless he manages to get some major hiding skills or has good luck.
Nathan - Yeah, Nathan, you won't make it home. Sorry, but you don't possess the skills, no matter how adorable you are or how much I love you. I hope he dies quickly, because this little boy does not deserve a painful death.

Tom - Ugh Miava's comment bothered me so much. She really needs to be more considerate of all of her tributes, especially since it's District 8, which is not a wealthy District at all. Tom's attitude is kind of depressing, but in his case, it's very accurate.
Blaze - Ooh, there's already a power struggle in the alliance. I feel as though this might come back later. Even though Octavian wins, I doubt Juno's going to be taking orders from him. There are too many dominant Careers in the pack this year, which is always a sign for destruction. I like this friendship between Blaze and Ariana, though. I hope this grows.
Octavian - Even though I don't like Octavian, he did win fair and square. She shouldn't let her guard down, especially to this obvious manipulative liar. And clearly, the fake knife wouldn't hurt him. Juno better get used to this, or she'll die too early. I am really excited for the drama between Octavian and her, though. This will be an exciting rivalry.
Carlina - I don't have much to say about this alliance yet. They seem like they could be a good fit, but it seems premature to jump into an alliance. Tributes do it all the time, which I think is a mistake on their behalf, but luckily, both of them seem pretty trustworthy.
Cole - After this, I have really low expectations for Angelica. It's one thing to be inexperienced at something, but she shouldn't just give up. She'll never survive the Hunger Games without the determination to at least learn how to use a weapon. I'm glad Cole finally plucked up the courage and asked her to align with him, but they should stay out of trouble; they might be good at survival stations, but if they meet another tribute they're doomed.
Livia - Yay, Alyx has an ally! And her knowledge of poisonous and edible plants will definitely be useful in the Hunger Games. Her medical knowledge is definitely coming in handy, and I'm glad she aligned with Livia, who is one of my favorites. I'm now rooting for Livia instead of Albin (although, I still love him) because she's teaming up with my girl.
Verin - Verin has got some nerve, although I'm also counting it as a bit of stupidity. While I admire his ability to not care who he annoys, it's probably not a smart choice to insult the leader of the Career pack. He's likely to die somewhat soon, or at least in the middle, unless he manages to get some major hiding skills or has good luck.
Nathan - Yeah, Nathan, you won't make it home. Sorry, but you don't possess the skills, no matter how adorable you are or how much I love you. I hope he dies quickly, because this little boy does not deserve a painful death.
