A much needed story that filled in a plot hole. I'd always wondered what Admiral Janeway thougjt as she contemplated the sacrifice of her own life. It had to have been a very lonely thing as Voyager left her behind to meet her fate.
And, personally, I've always thought that the Seven/Chakotay relationship fell apart once they reached Earth.

Another wonderful story. You have Kathryn (version 1)'s voice down perfectly. Here thoughts on Chakotay and Seven's relationship were so sad. Chakotay and Icheb could have been a family, and yet never were. The discussion about children made me wonder what might happen in the future for Janeway and Chakotay as Kathryn is no spring chicken. I hope that is something they can overcome. Thank you for adding this in parallel with Destiny!

Bravo. I particularly appreciated the footnote where you highlight that some temporal incursions are allowed to stand. After all, it is that fact that underpins so much of the canon Voyager story we all grew to love.
