i'll admit, i'm kinda sad that this is ending...probably this year, this fic's at about the level of From Fake Dreams, Draconian Remnant, My Harem Academia, Harry and Kikki, and a couple other Harry Potter fics that i like but can't remember the name of at 3 am.

It took me a while to catch up to this chapter. Busy, busy, busy on different points. Last weekend was no different.
It’s a bit of a surprise to see this chapter end. 50 chapters on nearly seven years. Damn good run.
It seems that he was causing a catalyst in the Memoir as they are celebrating something new on that. Plus, the whole bits done with Azazel and his daughter. It still came as surprise but it makes sense. Only Humans or Human Hybrids can inherit those.
And the next reunion was Akeno and her dad. But that is still done well. Yuuji is harvesting many good deeds in this and so far, they are working through on this. It also makes sense that he knew Ariel and only got an idea on what Azazel went through, when he lost Akeno and Shuri. But I still think it’s a weird thing. She had a right to be angry but she shouldn’t aimed it at her dad.
Speaking about reunions, it seems that both Kazuki and Asako are figuring things out themselves. They aren’t alive but you can’t call them undead either. I really wonder how you’d figure that one out.
Hela and Rossweisse was another addition to it but I feel that it’s just a lot more teasing as she got in the realm of her dead as she spends time with her Einherjar and Valkyrie. The teasing on Rossweisse was done well and he has two more on this whole to add. But well, I was more in the bits of the Fallen Angels.
With Yuuji and Baraquiel, that is something they’ll have to figure out themselves.
Good thing that I managed to get on this chapter. I just wonder how you’re going to end this fic as there are indeed many loose ends but keep in mind you don’t make the chapters too long. This was a good length but going over 30K can make it feel like a drag to sit through, read and review.

It does feel that this series is coming to an end. I’m fine with that. It feels like everyone’s arcs has been completed. Most of the world of dxd and grisaia has been explored and then some. Yah I’m fine with it ending. But god dammit I really don’t want it to end. This story got me into the fanfic community and ever since then it’s been nothing but going deeper into the rabbit hole. But pawn of grisaia will always hold a special place in me. I reread it and it still makes me smile with how fun it is. Not sure if all the plot points of qlippoth and oslos “benefactor” will be explored but whatever happens I’m gonna be here for when you post that last chapter. There’ll be other dxd fanfics but these versions of everyone are so memorable. So thank you and I look forward to the two final chapters.

Always nice to see another chapter from you. I’ve been away from FF for awhile. Life and the fact the site sometimes seems to go crazy semi annually in one way or another, plus a general migration of writers to other sites. Hopefully none of yours get scattered to the ether.
Yuuji remains one of my favorite and most criminally under appreciated protagonists. The fact that Grisaia is often marketed in a manner that emphasizes the High School Romantic genre part of it means a lot of people pass it over, I feel. Looks too generic at a glance (not that “Generic” stopped any anime ever) but it just never caught on for some reason or another.
You have a real talent for threesomes. While scenes like Yuuji/Julia after she loses some soldiers are more emotionally charged, I think your threesomes tend to be very balanced. Like your threesomes are a perfectly balanced meal of character, sex and plot while your two-person love scenes tend to lean into one category or another. Usually I’ve found writers doing the opposite.
Just a weird observation. It’s not bad one way or another. There’s times for romance, times for character advancement, times for pure smut and then times where you need all three. Just like you can’t eat healthy all the time, sometimes you need some junk food or vice versa.
