That was an incredible story. You captured the Trio in a very believable manner, the others read well also.
It's too bad that the spells they sent at Kingsley weren't tougher (Snape's cutting spell that I can never spell, so I've given up trying). Yeah, it would have been seen as abrupt but these guys were literally their friends & allies, and they deliberately setup a trap for children; all to end a fight/war that they (more than anyone else but Dumbledore) were responsible for the creation of. You'd think they'd realized that Harry being the 'Chosen One' doesn't actually make the end of the war his responsibility or his duty.
I'm also surprised they didn't realize that forcing theses individuals into that position could have had the exact opposite effect. These are strong people with titles & influences, did they think they would see this as a betrayal to them? Did they stop to think they may team up with those they were 'bonded' with?
Did they ever question that their betrayal would have been 'the straw that broke the camels back' and these people (Harry especially) would have decided that those who stabbed them in backs didn't deserve to live?
Yeah, I know, it's a kind of Dark Harry trope but he doesn't have to be dark or evil, he just has to stop helping those who keep betraying & using him; him being apathetic would have done as much damage as other actions (dark/evil/etc.) but with no truly negative connotations.
Did they ever take into account the fact that Harry might be fighting against Voldemort because Voldemort refuses to leave him alone, not because he thought the cowards in Britain deserved to be saved; what would happen if Voldemort made a vow to leave him alone if Harry & his family/friends left (the fight or the country).
I really could see so many outcomes to the story that you setup; whether they attacked or aided their previous enemies, or just left and let people reap the efforts they so painstakingly sowed. Harry does still have Sirius, Remus, his friends, & his fellow fighters (and his parents died long enough ago that he's not overly attached to them), so why would he need to be tied to the Ministry's fight when they prove with every action they take that they don't deserve to exist.
Seriously, you did a really good job on this; you captured an incredible atmosphere. From the tenseness of the initial fight, the tiredness of the betrayal, the refusal to just take it & be used, the loyal, the hope, the determination, even the humor of Hermione picturing the death eaters cuddling on a broom to escape, you created a believable and realistic world that truly drew me in.
Truly the only complaint I could possibly have is not having more of it. Great job on this; thank you for sharing your hard work, keep up the good work!

feels so unfinished, and so much potential in this, yet you marked it complete.

Such a great start. I would live to see this continued. I realize it is marked complete, but I would love to see a sequel or more added to this story.

This is really good. The amount of suspense, betrayal, and righteous anger is captured well. I hope that you'll visit this story again in the future and add some of the fallout of their immediate actions as well as their actions for the future.

Oh no you can’t say this is completed, it far to good a start to just leave it as one chapter, you need to deliberate and be determine to reach a destination of more of this. Please.
