for The 100th Hunger Games - The Lost Island (SYOT Closed!)

One question for Emalynn, how did she braid her hair with only one hand in the District 5 Reaping?
5/19/2020 c6 stillbejeweled
I like that Bug is in jail but I think you have the wrong idea of what jail actually is like.

This was a great ending for Ajax! I’m so happy he won and thanks again! This was a great story and I’m sad to see it over, but I can’t wait until your next SYOT! I’ll submit a tribute soon. Overall, great story and I can’t wait until the next one!

I'm almost tearing up right here, I don't know why, but every time someone wins the hunger games, this happens. They go through so much! It makes me so happy seeing Ajax come home to his family. If I was a parent, and my child was in the hunger games and came home alive, it would be the best thing to ever happen. I am super proud of you for finishing this because a lot of people just abandon their SYOT's. I am proud of all the people who submitted tributes. All of them were good in their own way. (Okay maybe not Flax, Lennox, and, Bug) but the point is may they all rest in peace. And hopefully (I know this is fiction so I don't know why I'm testing these characters like they are real) Ajax will have a nice life as a victor!
5/16/2020 c33 Kkash4
Congratulations Greywolf44 for Ajax winning! Both Ajax and Emalynn are amazing tributes. I am kinda glad that Ajax won, because not many career tributes win in SYOT's as far is a know because they are considered "villains" Nonetheless I don't think Ajax is a villain because he felt guilty about killing people. I know I haven't submitted any tributes to this SYOT, but I'll definitely submit one to the new one.

That was a great finale! Thank you so much for allowing Ajax to win! Emalynn put up a great fight though and I’m sad to see her go. She was a great tribute and she came really far for someone with one hand. She’ll definitely be missed. But man, thank you again, Ajax is my first victor and I happy he survived. I really like that he feels regret for what he has done too. I think will be a good victor. MonkeyPower435, congrats for Emalynn making it to the finale and sorry that she died, you created a great character. I’m happy to see that you’re doing another SYOT, I wonder if we see Ajax again in the sequel. I will definitely submit a tribute to your next story soon! I can’t wait to see what happens next! Overall, great chapter as usual and I can’t wait until the next one!

OH MY GOD THIS IS TERRIBLE I'M GONNA DIE FROM STRESSSSSSSSSSSSS.

Emalynn- Oh, Emalynn got a sponsor gift! Thanks Kkash. :) I'm very glad that Emalynn got the knives, that should give her a bit of an advantage. Also, I like the little trick with the water she can do with them, that will be very helpful as well. Man, this POV was really freaking scary because I thought Emalynn was going to die, but she's still alive! For now... D:

Raylie- I swear, this was so hard to read, I was literally tearing up a little bit. For a second there, I thought that Raylie stood a chance against Ajax, but as soon as that vine wrapped around her ankle I knew she was doomed. Gah, I suspected this might happen but it's still depressing to see them go.

Ajax- Oh, man... I knew that this was the end of the line for Jollin as soon as Ajax began looking for him. Still, though, I was on the edge of my seat for this entire chapter. D: I'm glad that Ajax at least felt guilty about killing Jollin. Even so, I do like him a little less since he just killed 3 tributes and didn't seem to feel all that guilty. Maybe that's just me being biased, though. :) Oh, man, Ajax is really powerful, he definitely has a good chance of winning the games. :o I am so scared, I really hope you post the finale soon. I can't take this pressure! XD

I am obviously routing for Emalynn and I really want her to make it home, but honestly I'll be very happy with Ajax winning too. Even so, I hope with all my might that Emalynn will be able to defeat all of the odds, avenge her friends, and survive the games! That would be a true Cinderella story.

Good luck to Graywolf in the finale! GOD, I'M SO SCARED. AGGHHHHHHHHFHRHEHFHGHRHUfiufui

Oh, right, almost forgot the Eulogies.

Briar- Aww, I loved him and Raylie! But even though they were awesome, I can see why they died. I can't really see either one of them living happily without the other. I loved Briar and he definitely did not do anything to deserve these games. I hope him and Raylie finally find their peace together in the afterlife. RIP.

Raylie- Again, I loved her and she and Briar were super cute together, but they were unfortunately doomed as soon as they were reaped together. Poor Raylie, she really was an awesome tribute. I'm going to miss her so much! D: Rest in peace.

Jollin- JOLLIN! You wrote him so well and I adored him, he was so sweet. But I knew that at least one of my tributes was going to bite the dust this chapter, and between him and Emalynn, I figured that he would be less likely to survive, so I kind of expected this. It didn't make it any harder to read, though, and his death still made me super sad. :_( RIP, Jollin. I'm going to miss you...

Hate to put pressure on you or anything, but PLEASE update soon! XD I really want to know what happens next!

It's down to this! I've been reading this for a while now watching the tributes grow. And now 2 of them are left. I've been watching both Ajax and Emalynn from the reaping, and now up to this! At first I really thought Serena would win, but each of the last 2 have really good skills. Emalynn is very young, and only has one hand. It would be cool to see someone with a disadvantage like that win. Ajax may be a career, but I've learned to love him too. Good luck final 2, and may the odds be ever in your favor! (I had to say that)
5/12/2020 c32 4Greywolf44
I’m sad to see both Briar and Raylie go, they were great together and I liked that they last this long together. It was to see them go but at least they’re together in the afterlife. The battle between Ajax and Raylie was also really entertaining to read. I’m sad to see Jollin go too, he really was a sweet kid. Unfortunately he lacked the experience as you said and he felled for Ajax’s trap. He did really well for someone his age though and that’s really impressive. I can’t believe to the final two already! We got Ajax and Emalynn and this should be a great finale. They’re both phenomenal tributes fighting for the win! I’m on the edge of my seat right now. I’m rooting for my boy Ajax and I really hope he can pull it off. This is literally the closet I have cake to my tribute winning and my heart’s pounding. I hope he wins and I expect a good fight from Emalynn, she’s got a lot of heart and that’s amazing for her. Go Ajax! It’ll be plant vs water or Ajax vs Emalynn. I can’t wait to see the finale! Overall, great chapter as usual and I can’t wait until the next one!
5/12/2020 c31 3MonkeyPower435
Ok, I'm all caught up now! I loved this chapter so much, it was super action-packed and fun to read.

Briar- Yay, the alliance got their sponsor gift! I'm sad to see that they're going to be splitting up soon, with the feast, but it's probably for the best, and it was fun to see this alliance while it lasted. I really hope none of them die at the feast, I love them all! Raylie and Briar are very interesting, as they're both willing to sacrifice their life to let the other win. I'm excited to see how that plays out.

Ajax- Oh, man! This was super stressful. I can't believe Emalynn and Briar were able to take out Serena, she was probably the most powerful tribute left in the arena. Also, I'm surprised Ajax killed her without a second thought. I understand his logic, though, as he now probably has the best chance of winning with her gone. I thought for sure that Jollin was going to die there for a second, but he was smart and used his power! Ajax is now the last Career and arguably the most powerful tribute in the games. :o

Stitch- Aww, this scene was so sad! Poor Stitch. :( At least she got her sponsor present before she died, though. Honestly, I feel like that death was kind of cruel. I mean, Ajax could've just killed her quickly instead of drawing the death out and causing her to suffer. I still like Ajax, just maybe not quite as much.

Eulogies:

Serena- I really liked her at first, but I think the games changed her, and not in a good way. I'm not super sad to see her go, but she was very interesting to read about, and I'll miss her interactions with the other tributes. She was extremely powerful, so with her gone, it's very likely that these games could be won by an outlier. RIP.

Shey- I knew that it was only a matter of time for Shey after Falco bit the dust. I always found Shey to be a cool tribute, but if she'd won, she would never have been able to live with herself again, so I think it's best that she died here. I hope you find Falco in the afterlife.

Stitch- I adored Stitch, but she was too young to win the games, unfortunately. Still, though, she was super sweet and I loved reading about her. She was a girl that never deserved the horrors of the games. She actually did surprisingly well; 6th place is pretty dang good for a 12 year old. Rest in peace, Stitch.

Ok, since we're down to the final five and there's a chance the finale could be next chapter, I'm going to give my thoughts on each tribute as a victor.

Emalynn- Obviously, I'm super biased, so don't think too much about anything I'm saying here. But anyways, in my opinion, I think Emalynn would be a pretty good victor. She's been through a lot, both in her lifetime and in the games, and so I think a victory would be good for her. Of course, she's at an obvious disadvantage with being 13 years old and only having one hand, but since 4 out of the 5 tributes left are all young, I don't think her age matters as much, and her having water powers could make up for her missing hand. I am a little concerned, though, that her water abilities won't be enough to win the games, as just water can't really hurt anyone. Anyway, I'm crossing my fingers that she'll come out of the arena alive, but I will completely understand if she doesn't, as she does have some pretty big weaknesses that could end in her death.

Jollin- Man, I love Jollin. I really love him. But honestly, I can't really foresee him making it much farther. In fact, I think he might be the next to die. Obviously, I'm hoping that I will be proved wrong, and I'd be thrilled if he won, but he's probably the least memorable out of the remaining tributes, as well as the weakest. I think that Ajax might be successful in sneaking up on him and killing him next chapter. I have loved reading about Jollin from the moment you wrote his Reaping chapter, but I know that at least one of my tributes has to die (probably both D:) and I really just can't picture him winning. If he does overcome the odds and survives, however, I think he will make a pretty good victor and will be a helpful mentor to the next tributes to come along in District 3.

Briar- Briar is awesome and I would love it if he won. However, I feel like he wouldn't be able to fully appreciate his victory if Raylie died. He'd just be really sad and depressed all the time, which would break my heart a little to watch. It would make for some interesting plot development, though, if you are going to make a sequel to this.

Raylie- Basically the same as Briar- I love her character, but she would never be the same person again if Briar were to die and she lived. She would probably stop functioning to a certain extent, or turn to alcohol to get rid of the pain.

Ajax- Ok, so since he's the only one who was never in Emalynn's alliance, I'm naturally biased against him. In an unbiased opinion, though, I think Ajax would honestly make a great victor. He's been through a lot in the games and will have to deal with some pain if he becomes a victor, but he'll also be able to appreciate his life if he wins. He's a Career, so he has some flaws, but he's not your typical Career and is nicer than some of the other ones. He also has some important people in his life that he needs to make it home to. He would function as a great mentor to the future tributes of District 2, as well. Again, I'm routing against him because my tributes and their former allies are still in the games, but I will be very happy with Ajax as the winner of the story, he really does deserve it.

Oh, man! Either next chapter or the one after that will be the finale! I'm so scared for my tribute's lives. D: I will try to send in some more sponsor gifts soon.

Btw, good luck to Lilah and Greywolf in the next few chapters! It's going to be heartbreaking to watch four of these tributes die. :(
5/10/2020 c30 MonkeyPower435
Stitch- Wow. I have to admit, I'm pretty impressed with Stitch right now. It's good to see that she's still fighting for her life and isn't ready to give up just yet. :) I have a feeling Shey's days are numbered, though. Even with Stitch to help her out, she still probably won't put up much of a fight against other tributes. Also, no food?! Yikes, that can't be good for any of the tributes.

Bug- Oh, man! Here comes the fight that I've been looking forward to! I think it's kind of ironic that she is criticizing Serena for being crazy when she herself is literally insane. XD Anyways, I really hope Bug dies this chapter, she's a really big threat to everyone in the arena.

Sadie- Woah, that chapter was intense! Bug did really well against all those Careers, I have to admit. Ha ha, Serena did end up killing her. Bug deserved that, honestly. It's interesting to see that Sadie put the pieces together about Serena, so I wonder if Ajax and Cobalt figured it out too? Anyways, the scene at the end was super sad. I already liked Ajax, but this made me like him a lot more. :D Obviously, I'm biased for Emalynn and Jollin's alliance, but I would also be very happy with Ajax as a victor.

Eulogies:

Cobalt- I really liked Cobalt, but the fact that he didn't seem to care about how the Careers were trained killers kind of irked me. Jason will be so sad, though! Poor Cobalt, I wish it didn't have to be this way for you.

Bug- This might sound a little despicable, but I'm really glad Bug's dead, that eliminates a huge threat! Plus, she was never able to kill Jollin, which makes me very relieved.

Sadie- While Sadie never completely stuck out to me, she was still very nice for a Career and I liked her. I'm still a little upset about her killing Ellis without thinking twice, but in general I thought she was a good character who didn't really deserve to die.

I'm almost caught up! Yay!
5/10/2020 c29 MonkeyPower435
Falco- Awwww, this scene was so sad! For a minute there, I thought Falco might stand a chance against the bear mutt, and he was doing pretty well against it, but Shey coming back was enough of a distraction to be his death. :( I have a feeling that this alliance is going crumble with Falco gone, since he was sort of the glue that was holding it together.

Serena- Yeah, I'm starting to sort of dislike Serena. I liked her in her Reaping chapter, but she's become really bossy and overconfident and it's starting to get a little annoying. I'm really excited for when the Careers meet Bug, that'll be a fun fight to watch. :D

Raylie- Raylie and Briar are so cute together. :) I think I've said this before, but I love reading about this alliance, it's so cool to see that despite the pressure of the Hunger Games, they've all still managed to become friends. I think Briar and Raylie both have a pretty good chance of winning, but if one of them dies then the other will probably just give up and let death take them. :(

Eulogies:

Falco- I always really liked Falco, as he was very kind and selfless. I also thought that he would last longer than Shey, as he's more built for the games. But I think that a sacrifice was the best way for him to go. RIP, Falco.
5/9/2020 c31 4Greywolf44
We had the Feast and it was an entertaining chapter! I’ sad to see Serena go though. Thanks for accepting her and thanks for doing an amazing job with her, I’m going to miss her. I really liked Shey but it makes sense since Falco died. Stitch was a great character too but it makes senses for her to go since she couldn’t escape Ajax’s trap. We’re down to the final five! I’m rooting for my boy Ajax, I’m confident he can do it. Overall, great chapter as usual and I can’t wait until the next one!
5/9/2020 c31 1Kkash4
Oh no Serena diedI kinda thought she would win, but my other favorites Raylie, Briar, Jollin, and Emalynn are still alive. Ajax might be a strong career, but honestly, right now I think the superpowers of the others will win him over. I know Raylie would sacrifice herself for Briar, but I still kind of see Raylie winning, and Ajax killing him. It would be cool if Emalynn win with only having 1 hand. Jollin I'm still not sure about him, I think it's possible he could win, but not guaranteed.
5/5/2020 c28 3MonkeyPower435
Darwin- Darwin, wow! Wasn't expecting this death, at least not so soon. As soon as Serena suggested that the two went off alone together, though, I had a feeling that Darwin was doomed. I have to admit, while I definitely see Serena's reasoning for killing Darwin, this does make me like her a little less. She seems to be getting a little bossy with the Careers. Maybe it's just me, though. I guess you have to be sort of bossy if you want to lead the Career pack.

Cobalt: What?! Eagle died?! Ok, that's another surprise death! Lol this chapter title is so fitting. I like Cobalt, but I find it interesting that he's fitting in so well with the other Careers. It seems a little... sadistic to me, maybe? I don't know, maybe I'm wrong. The Careers aren't too bad this year, but they're still trained killers, and so Cobalt becoming friendly with them so quickly is surprising to me since he's from an outer district.

Jollin: I honestly love this alliance so much! Obviously I'm biased because two of my tributes are in it, but still, they're super fun to read about. I'm glad Briar is feeling better. :) Also, ominous sentence at the end, yikes. If Bug meets this alliance there are definitely going to be some deaths.

Eulogies:

Eagle: Yeah, nothing about him really stuck out to me. Still, though, he wasn't terrible for a Career. I'm still in shock that he went out so quickly. His family will be sad. :(

Darwin: I always found Darwin to be a really cool character, he/she was very fun to read about. While I didn't think he/she would win, I did imagine him/her going farther. RIP.

Wow, we're halfway there! These games are pretty fast-paced, but I love it, it provides so much action!
