I understand if you don't know this, since not everyone is that into Sports, but changing the entire image and colours of a well established club is never a good move. Especially not if you're a new owner, that's the way you alienate your supporters. You're taking something away from those people, something that means so much to them. They've grown up loving a specific team, wearing their colours and badge. That you suddenly buy out everyone and change everything is NOT going to go down well. Not in the slightest.

I sort of wish it stuck to the theme though.. Diagon Alley, Knockturn Alley, Horizont Alley etc. could have gone for something like Vertic Alley.

i don't know what went wrong but i never got the notification for chap 25 update and didnt know about part 2.
I loved part one and all the CSG work but i'm so happy that part 2, with more action and seemingly powerful ennemies la going to start !
And now, ill be on my way To start reading it!

Guilds did have the benefit of ensuring craftsmanship. It had the detriment of stifling competition. Too many masters or journeymen which had the effect of increasing competition and driving down prices (and thus reducing profits)? Reduce the numbers allowed to be promoted to that status. So guilds become an employment protection act, good for those already in the door but not so good for those outside it.

I’m enjoying the story, including the Wizengamot scenes, though I have more questions that answers. Did they really agree to keep Abercrombie, who will preside over many votes and can keep playing games by virtue of his position, in exchange for his support on one bill? That seems shortsighted. Why do they even need him if they have the votes to install whomever they want? Wouldn’t it be better to have a reliable ally as opposed to fair weather friends?
I understand that politics makes strange bedfellows, but it does so for reasons of necessity. I didn’t see the necessity, or the benefit vs. risk of the Abercrombie scenario.
