I couldn't help clicking on this when I saw the intriguing title!
It is silly and funny and cute! It made me smile to see Hermione, competent, clever, practical in every type of magic, find herself taking eight hours - eight long, stressful, messy, chaotic hours - to make ice cream without magic.
And the ending was perfect. After all that effort! I wonder if she hit Ron over the head with 'that metal tube'. Before binge-eating both lots of ice cream.
