Came here from The Merging and I'm not disappointed! Honestly I used to love that one movie where they discussed Aura a lot (used to being the primary word there because apparently I can't remember the title of the movie anymore, except that Lucario and Mew were in there lol) and it was so nice seeing a fic that explored it. I'm excited to see just where this goes!
Hopefully Gardevoir starts to feel more comfy around Ash soon, the poor thing.

Well, here's your lit candle.
Found your profile via a The Merging recommendation, but was actually drawn to TIL thanks to not dipping my toes in Pokémon for ages and being curious, particularly with the stated characters (I love Cynthia). Maybe because I'm so out of reading in this fandom, but I wasn't bothered by clichés, like the description led me to believe. But I often maintain that 'clichés' are absolutely fine when written well; it's just that they usually tend to attract bad writers. Either way, I thoroughly enjoyed what was there, but was rather disappointed that it is an as yet incomplete story. So, having now read up to the end of the new story as it currently stands, and highly enjoying all the missing gaps being filled in from the original so far, I'm going to tag a tentative follow here and hope that the overall update rate to completion isn't quite as slow as what's currently come out so far.
