This was a nice first chapter. I'm glad you decided to start from the beginning. I would love to see little Thranduil grow up!
Oropher ending up in the water not one but two times in his wife's presence is hilarious! I liked your story for their beginning. Also, the friendship between Oropher, Galadhon and Amdir was great to see. It is clear that Celeborn and Thranduil's future friendship would stem from here too... It would be really nice to see their stories..
I did go back to read your author's note actually. You did say that you had kind of created an outline for the chapters already.. Is it possible for you to continue to this story? Please.. It has been about 3 years after all...
Your writing style is really beautiful and you describe each event and expression really well. I would love to read more from you.. Especially about my favorite character Thranduil..
