Aw, this poem was too cute! My favorite line by far was " i took a deep breath before i could snap". I can just picture that, it was so Marguerite. You should write some more poems, their really cool!

I love the original, and I LOVE your LW version of it! This is my favorite line: "When, what to my wondering eyes should appear, But the glimpse of a face and the side of an ear. The rifle that hung on the mantle was gone. I knew in an instant the man was Lord John."

There's just something about it- it flows really nicely. Great job. :) :) :)

How sweet! Loved the part of Margurerite tending to his wound. How appropriate. And, it rhymed! Good how you slipped in that part of 'filled full of love' at the end. Well done!
