Also people readily believe that Naruto outruns ANBU as a child but don’t believe he can wall walk or water walk? How’s he supposed to outrun ANBU again?
Yeah personally with authors I have faith in I’m fine with them introducing a non-super fem OC as a pairing for Naruto.
Interesting take on the Jonin opinions of Naruto. Don’t see Naruto as the Kyuubi but see him as the potential to become the Kyuubi.
Intersting decision with Ino’s technique hitting Naruto though what will you make of it? Most authors would just ignore if after playing it for momentary drama but with you I think it’d actually mean something.
Sort of wanted to read the Jonin’s reaction to Team Ten’s test.
I wonder if Tora having the Hiraishin mark on him will be of relevance later.

If people think Naruto changing that quick is unreal, I feel it’s completely understandable. I know I’ve had events in my life where an older guy has said something that’s seen me mature by years in an instant or I’ve come across my own understanding that’s done the same. Having a genuine mentor like Tobirama was just what Naruto needed.
I’m glad you aren’t Mary Sue-ing Kushina. I think she was utterly awesome and it showed the night Naruto was born, I don’t see any need to have every possible good point attributed towards her and cover up her character to do it.
Oh yeah forgot to mention but thank you for not being silly enough to ignore the fact that the Hiraishin is instantaneous and I’m assuming your also intelligent enough not to write it having some weird yellow flash when used. Though that does have possibility in certain situations… I mean a flash bang and teleport can be mixed with the seamless teleportation and…
A time skip! Well done and well placed! You even marked it. A time skip was necessary, a story starting out with a training montage is just dull.
I wonder who you plan for Naruto’s team. Personally, I’d like to see a Naruto, Hinata and Shikamaru team or Naruto, Hinata and Yakumo Kurama team though I realise that Yakumo is actually a filler character and requires the story to be rebalanced to take into account for demons (which opens up Shions arc) or Yakumo herself needs to be rebalanced.
Well Hashirama and Naruto were incarnations of Asura and you did mention that Earth and Water were equally strong last chapter but I was mostly trying to figure out how wind would play into his bloodline choice.

I’d still prefer the Sharingain to wood release since it has far more focused and direct abilities with greater variety. Still in real life I’d prefer Makuton to help with the world’s issues, desertification, phosphorus crisis and global warming to name but a few.

Ok I can totally accept Ino beating out Sakura but I hope Sakura isn’t teamed with Naruto.
Naruto doesn’t seem to be a fan of Hinata but teaming him with Ino and having her as top Kunoichi makes me think you’re more inclined to a Naruto/Ino pairing. Honestly there aren’t any good pairings for Naruto in the series and considering how pathetic and annoying canon Naruto was it was hard to care. In this story- Oh I just checked again so it’s a harem pairing. I wonder who you’ll pair him with. It’d be smart to avoid clan heirs especially those with bloodlines. Never understood how Hinata can marry out of the clan rather than people marrying into it if they take keeping their bloodline exclusive seriously.
Also, can’t Kuruma sense negative emotions? Shouldn’t he have an inkling regarding Hinata?
That said I hope you don’t do the thing where team seven accomplishes everything the canon team did. Naruto was an integral part of their success and just having kiba replace him and assuming things would just work out cheapens his role as protagonist. I also want to read Naruto’s new team dealing with the canon arcs in their own way.
I never understood the whole Kakashi needs to train Sasuke thing because they both have the Sharingan and thus team seven notion. I mean we’ve always seen Uchiha already being able to use their eyes instinctively so what would Kakashi teach and why would a council have a freaking say? I can understand Kakashi wanting to teach Naruto so I’d have preferred Kakashi over Asuna with this Naruto.
Iruka mentioned team nine?
Hahahaah! I love you’re dialogue throughout this story and especially this scene with team ten’s initial meeting wihtout Asuna present just yet.
I do like the direction your taking though Naruto is a bit too snobbish and anti-social. What I’m concerned about there is that I’ll miss out on entertaining dailogue because Naruto ignores the opportunity to socialise.

It’s not like i have anything against the Nindaime being your favourite Hokage but why do you think that? I mean we didn’t know much about him only he made the Impure World Resurrection and Shadow Clone techniques, one of which caused a hell Of a lot of trouble and how he sacrificed himself to save his subordinates. Outside of that we don’t know much about him.
Developing Senju and Uzumaki techniques sound amazing but what are Senju techniques? Will you make them?
Also wonder what his uber bloodline that matches the sharingan is supposed to be.
From the harem it seems you pick character’s that are essentially oc’s.

when i read naruto start to water walking i immediately stop reading this that i know i would just wasting time. I dont know what the frik is wrong with other people here that they cannot see a huge plot hole on that part. seriously since when did academy students learn to water walk? heck in the cannon team 7 only learned to walk to tree when they were already a ninja team and water walking is far more advanced chakra control exercise.

I don't understand why people are saying that Naruto is being emo. He being realistic like the author mentioned. I honestly prefer this Naruto than the one from canon since he's more mature and isn't as naive.

I have a feeling that when Naruto stole the scroll, the sandaime was notified by a trusted anbu/jonin that Naruto was sneaking in. And then he told everyone to withdraw and approached with a lecture at the tip of his tongue because Naruto wasn't an enemy infiltrator. Then he got bamboozled with the sexy no jutsu with no guards and a puddle of blood.
On the other hand, he did tie up Sasuke, sneak into Haku's ice demon mirror, and take his headband back from Zabuza, so he does have quick hands and good sneaking skills. And most importantly, he has the devil's luck (never loses at gambling, no death from shodaime's necklace, somehow passed the written exam with a blank paper, etc.).
So I buy this "Naruto stole the scroll without getting caught" thing.
