I can appreciate the stigma that comes with churches, especially in the context of a Harry Potter fanfic. Despite that It’s still disheartening to see the people who accepted me freely in the first 18 years of my life represented so negatively. It’s a cliche, and a very unfair stereotype. Christians are truly some of the most accepting people I’ve ever met and portraying them as subhuman monsters is lazy writing.
