I really enjoyed it, I would love to dive deep into the emotional turmoil of our knight in black

I thought it was realistic. After all those awful missions,, his reaction is perfect.

Very unique but seems so realistic of someone in Rangers lifestyle. We all have that someone who without we would not survive the traumas of life.

Great story but I would like to see more like their travels and a 5, 10 and 20 year update. As paranoid as Stephanie is about being locked up, I can see them spending the next 20 years in a cabin in the woods.

Good story. Believable that he could finally hit his breaking point and need an out. Thanks for sharing.

Good story, different type story line. As an obsessive reader I enjoy new story lines.

My heart hurt for Ranger, for going through this; and for all the people, soldiers and civilians who have been tortured in any way, especially in such a way that causes such terrible mental and emotional anguish.
I can see perfectly in my mind, Ranger breaking down like this with Steph and sobbing his heart out. Many people think that strong men don't cry, but it is those who are the strongest, who hide their hurts the longest, that when they finally come out, it's heartbreaking to see. My husband is like this. So very strong and masculine, yet his heart is tender and he hurts deeply. I've only seen him truly sobbing a very few times, but loved him even more for having the capacity to feel that deeply.
I'm so glad that Steph stayed with him and accepted the situation.

This was a powerful one-shot! Your Ranger was so broken. The only thing he could do after that last horrifying mission was to run right to his Babe. He had only enough mental energy to EXECUTE a perfectly planned getaway with her. When she said she would go away with him, I felt a HUGE weight lifted off of him. Your Steph knew what to say, what to do to help Ranger center himself and purge his mind of the Befores, only concerned with the Nows of their Someday. Excellent writing! Thanks so much for this gift. -Kathy
