For a betrothed couple to have a child out of wedlock would have been perfectly alright in a Viking setting. By making it something shameful, you're applying non-canon modern AU morals *from another culture* on your wish for a "canonverse" fic.

Why don't you try writing the type of stories you want to see... Or better yet, use the filer for mature content. It's loaded with what you are looking for.
