Well that escalated quickly from weapons safe to weapons free all the way to body in a freezer! I like that they got to a non-zero sum game arrangement where Christine thinks she’s getting lessons for the price of more lessons, but really Erik is winning by spending even more time with her and at her request.

I really liked the descriptions in the first few paragraphs of this chapter. Though it took me twice to figure out he had to take his mask off to pit on the helmet. No way a helmet would work over it. But you had that exactly right and I just need to slow down my reading. And I have no knowledge of drug running, but I think your dialogue and descriptions were fine. Too bad Erik couldn’t keep his witty repartee to himself this time!

Oh, they missed each other! Creative handling of the awkward ‘are you seeing anyone?’ question. Ok Erik. Honestly I can’t figure out how someone who may not even have a nose is meant to taste the method for heating water. Back to unfamiliar pleasant feelings!
