A lovely new story in your AU universe! "Spectra's in my way." LOL! I love that. And that's something I look forward to, maybe at some point. Most of the original G-Force team came together because they wanted to be involved in space exploration. Once the war was won, would any of them want to do that? Or would they have had enough with space at that point? I would hate to think their dreams had totally died.

There's an orphaned quotation mark at the end of the fourth paragraph, the line that starts with "Dylan recognised both voices,..."

Dylan, too, but you've really made Rick shine, over the years.
Excellent description of what it feels like to be in shock.

I like this Dylan. He's very human, with foibles and uncertainty as he navigates his destiny on Team Two. The answer he gave to Anderson as to why he wanted Team Two was great! "I want to go into space. Spectra's in my way."

Brilliant again.
Poor Dylan is flummoxed through most of the proceedings, isn't he. Seems that's usually the case. The kid's clearly motivated and smart, though.

This is the first time Grant is so much as _mentioned_ that I didn't have a strong urge to punch him in the face. Nykinnen always comes across as both a good and scarily competent officer.
I really like your Dylan, by the way. And if he's top of the class - never mind twice promoted - I guess he's scarily competent, too. ;)
