I think omar mariam is an hero. He kills aliens and doesn't afraid of anything
2/10 needs more DARPA projects.

One thing that kind of bothers me is that it never says whether Sira took Tistol up on his offer or not. It seems like she has every intention of going to Dekuuna when her scene ends, but she is absent from the next scene actually *on* said planet.
That said, I do really like the in-depth exploration of the krogan rebellions- the logistics and sheer *scale* of it are daunting.
And, dayum, that bit about their pilot recruiting strategies at the end almost makes me feel sorry for the krogan.
Almost.

Absolutely loved this short, you managed to really set the scene and tone of the Morning War and the desperation of the Quarians fantastically! I really appreciated the focus you put on detailing the tech differences between the Morning War and the events of SV, really helped distinguish it as a different time. Definitely looking forwards to more of these.

Sorry for the very late review.
This was great, thank you for writing it. I didn't know what to expect when you announced you'd be making another story in the universe, I assumed it would be around the time of the main story with different characters, but this was nice anyways. I'd actually be very interested in other major events like the lead up to the Krogan Rebellions, the Rachni wars, or even the initial meeting between the Turians and Asari/Salarians.
But I'm sure you probably already have some ideas. Either way, was a nice surprise and I'm curious to see what's next.
Looking forward to more :)

This wasn't really what I expected, and I am totally OK with that.
For one thing, the story is a lot shorter than I thought it was going to be, although I don't feel confident in saying that it is truly 'over' or that we will never see these characters again. I suppose it's always possible that these might just turn out to be the ancestors of somebody important, but I get the distinct feeling they'll contribute to the arc of history in their own right as well.
Interesting take on the Morning War; I always thought of it as this big sudden thing that was over in a few weeks but I think it makes just as much if not more sense for the geth to slowly grind down the quarians until they give up like was seen here.
Interesting to see your take on what young turians do in the time leading up to their departure for military service; I had imagined this big public celebration everyone partakes in (fifteen also being the legal drinking age and age of consent for turians) but this is quieter, more introspective, and more personal. I like it!
And dost mine eyes detect a Halo reference?
