This was a nice read. I'm foggy on the details of the canon (it's been a while) but I like the way you wrote the banter between them and the chemistry they obviously have. I think you've got Newt's character spot-on, too. I loved the part where Pickett falls asleep on Leta and Newt thinks him a traitor!
