I was just thinking as Hermione was describing how smooth af Tom is- first off, I'm not sure if anyone else has it but Americans use a saying "he has the tongue of a snake charmer" meaning he's a smooth talker, can talk his way out of things or into ladies. I was thinking this saying in regards to Tom when I realized he literally has the tongue of a snake charmer. Because... y'know... he can talk to snakes. k bye good job on the writing.

If Hermione traveled back to 1944 (Tom's 7th year), Myrtle should have already died. The basilisk killed her in 1943, the end of Tom's 5th year. He made the diary horcrux with her death, not the locket - which he only got from Hepzibah Smith after working at Borgin and Burkes.
