I wonder, what does being a demigod entails? Because as far as I see, Perseus honestly isn't any different than some B-list or A-list metahuman. There's nothing that really sets him apart from mortal sorcerers of DC universe. His versatile elemental manipulations, while undeniably impressive for the average metahumans, is pretty underwhelming for a supposed "demigod".
He is overwhelming in some, and underwhelming in others. While there are some circumstances where's it's understandable, like the desert scene, there's also moments where he seems to struggle against low tier opponents when he shouldn't. Honestly, it's way too early to tell because besides from Klarion he hasn't fight anybody significant yet. So we'll see I suppose.

You are doing just fine, regarding the fighting and hand to hand combat. I'm just glad you're one of the few authors, that I've read anyway, that actually incorporate Hand to hand combat into a PJO fanfic.
Some just seem to ignore it entirely or throw it to the wolves and make it the worst aspect of the characters. I never understood why.
It's like they either didn't know or they don't care, or they forget that one of the first martial arts/self-defense systems was developed by the Greeks, they called it Pankration.
And the fact that you put a very bastardized version of it in here, just wins you brownie points, dude.
