Jedi Padawan, Yellib Yeonstab aka Shazam (Master Marvel)

Homeworld: Ord Mantel

Lightsaber type: White; unstable (Crossguard)

Yellib Yeonstab was a padawan with poor aptitude, due to being allowed to begin his training much later than the council deemed appropriate. Mere moments from being expelled from the Order, he barely escaped the Jedi Purge by accidentally accessing a portal to the World Beyond Worlds at the Jedi Temple he and his master were stationed at. While there, he comes into contact with an ancient Jedi Master once known as, Mam Maragan V’larem. He teaches the boy how to utilize a forgotten forbidden force technique where he can call upon and access skills and powers of six ancient force practitioners: each of which, hail from differing factions. Yellib is instructed by Master V’larem on how to call forth a bolt of combined Cosmic and Living Force Lightning; which transforms his body to its peak adult state and endows the young Jedi with the abilities of the six force users. He is directed to one of the portals and reemerges, decades after he was last seen, becoming the displaced “Jedi Master’s” proxy Champion and the Galaxy’s Mightiest Jedi Master.

- Yellib Yeonstab Billy Batson; I reversed and rearranged some of the letters of his names. I added a Y even though there isn’t one in Batson to maintain the alliterative aspect the original had.

- Mamaragan is one of the identities of the wizard, Shazam as established in the New 52 version of the character. He’s based on an Australian Aborigine lightning god.

- In another origin for the character of the Wizard, Shazam; when granted the power to become Earth’s Champion, he would shout out the word, “Vlarem” (an anagram of Marvel) to attain his powers.

- Master V’larem is an ancestor of Chancellor Vallorum of the Galactic Senate during the Clone Wars.

- The six Force Practitioner Factions and skills that Yellib has access to are: Jedi- Lightsaber Combat skills, Sith- Force Lightning, Je’daai - Force Telekinetics, Kolari- Force Telepathy, Dai Bendu- Wisdom/Knowledge (of past and future events), Matukai- Force Imbued Physical Enhancement (Strength, Speed, Agility, Healing…etc)

- V’larem will attempt to teach him to chant the names of The Six over and over to channel the power and call forth the lightning, but Yellib will figure out a technique to focus on the first letter of the names of each of the Six Practitioners, and just shout out one word, which of course will spell out, SHAZAM;

- V’larem had another student of the Force cross his path that he bestowed this same power on; only this force wielder’s personality and training leaned into the Dark Side, and he ultimately became, Darth Adamant.

- Decided to give him a crossguard lightsaber in the style of High Republic Jedi, Stellan Gios, but with the unstable lightning effect of Kylo Ren’s. I also decided it would have a white blade, as his abilities encompass the totality of the Force.

- Also, like Stellan Gios’ lightsaber, it has a function that allows it to fold up the arms that allow its crossguard configuration. When in its standard lightsaber mode, the blade is still white, but stable, and shorter.

- Instead of a standard sleeved Jedi Cloak worn over his traditional style Jedi Robes, I decided to give him a Jedi Cloak, similar to that worn by Luke Skywalker, to emulate his hooded cape from the New 52 era of comics. The cloak has two Kuru Pendants as clasps, to acknowledge the Kolari aspect of his abilities.

- Yellib will find a companion in a wandering loth-cat, that he will name, Taoni.
Since MangaJLA Superman was based on Goku from DBZ, it only made sense to make the Saiyans the Kryptonians from Superman2
Zod, Non, and Ursa.
Zod is the counterpart of Vegeta, Non is Nappa, and Ursa is there cuz you cant not have her!

The Kryptonian race had two classes: Science and Warrior. Jora- Ku was born into the science class who developed the solar impact shell that sent Kura-ku to earth. These three are from the warrior class. when it was discovered that away from the rays of the red sun, kryptonians obtain great strength, the warrior class was created. they both werein the service of the empire of Darkseid(freiza). The warrior class was cultivated on battleworld by Mongul. After Kura-Ku was sent to earth, Krypton was destroyed. Zod and the other two were summoned to earth by a beacon sent by...

B.R.A.I.N.I.A.C
the Battle Ready Artificially Intelligent Nemesis Inter Active Consrtuct was deveolped by Jora-Ku and placed in the solar impact shell that carried his son in the customary ceremony(sort of like a funeral). he always wanted his son to get the benefits of warrior training that was denied the science class, but when he was chosen as ammunition his hopes of that died as well. his wife, Alara placed a red blanket that she made in as well...it would eventually become Kura-Ku's cape as Superman. i'm still trying to figure out his color scheme.

Zod is in his personal battle armor( vegeta's "bulma" armor)

Je’daai Ranger, Kal- El aka Superman

Homeworld: Krypton

Lightsaber type: Blue, Red, and White (modular)

The remaining vestiges of the Je’daai Order began to rebuild itself after relocating to the world of Krypton in the Unknown Regions. Fleeing their previous homeworld after the rise of the Jedi and the Sith, the Je’daai Order on Krypton felt the need to be prepared to combat the Infinite Empire should it ever return. Establishing itself as the replacement for Tython, they recreated the Nine Temples to continue their training and tradition. Emulating the cleansing moons of Ashla and Bogan, two of Krypton’s moons were used in a similar capacity when one of their order began to lean too far towards one end of the Force Spectrum and needed to meditate on the opposite to regain balance. After generations, those on Krypton had forged a remarkable society, but had not realized how isolationist that society had become in the name of preserving their culture. Ironically, it was by remaining so isolated that everything that they fought to preserve was almost completely lost when a chain reaction at the planet’s core caused it to explode, obliterating the planet…and the Je’daai along with it. Yet, there was still hope. Jor-El, a vocal proponent for ending their isolation and returning to the Known Galaxy they had left behind so long ago, was able to trigger a warp gate within the planet’s atmosphere, allowing a small craft carrying his young son, Kal-El, past the planetary defense screen that simultaneously protected and entrapped their people. Once in orbit, the escape pod docked to the Sentinel One starship, immediately making the jump to lightspeed to flee the destruction. He would grow up in the Outer Rim of the Known Galaxy. Utilizing the holocron his father left him, he would continue the tradition of the Je’daai and commence his training.

- Kal-El underwent his Padawan training under the tutelage of his father’s prerecorded lessons in the holocron that was left in his escape pod. After which, the holocron unlocked access to the recordings of nine other Masters, under whose guidance he would train as a Je’daai Journeyer to achieve the rank of Je’daai Ranger. For the Journeyer phase of his training, as the temples no longer existed, he was required to relocate to a different world to complete the tasks assigned by each level before being able to access the next.

- The Nine Masters that guided Kal-El’s Journeyer training are based on alternate versions of Superman: Salden Lawbringer (Stan Lee: Just Imagine), Vey Rah Endt (Tangent), Quet-Zal (Legends of the Dead Earth), Kaleb of Hydros (Legends of the Dead Earth), Dav-Id (Eradicator), Luma Lynai (Superwoman of Staryl), Loana (Superwoman: Lana Lang), Lucilane (Superwoman: Lucy Lane), and Wiligig (Legends of the Dead Earth).

- Kal-El is shown wearing the hood that is part of his cape/cloak. I was partly inspired to add this to the design based on the image of DCEU Superman actor, Henry Cavil cosplaying as a Jedi. In it he wore dark (black) Jedi/Sith robes and held a red bladed lightsaber. This was also inspiration for me to allow his blade to change color, partly because I thought it looked cool, but I also needed to find a way to utilize it without making him a villain.

- When channeling the Darkside of The Force, Kal-El’s eyes turn red, but are lacking the yellow that are identified as “Sith Eyes”.

- Deadly Sight was a power of the dark side of the Force, focusing the user's hatred into deadly energy. Darksiders could inflict pain and injury upon their foes merely by looking at them, causing victims' bodies to burn and smoke as they died. By channeling this ability, a Force-user harnessed fury and hatred and then projected them through an intense glare onto the victim - as long as that victim was in the practitioner's range of vision. The Deadly Sight would have then blistered the skin and vaporized extremities. Users of Deadly Sight could damage entire groups of foes within their field of vision.

- I chose The Deadly Sight Darkside ability for him to have, as it sounded like an adequate representation of Superman’s Heat Vision.

- After his arrival on the public stage, Kal-El’s exploits will be covered by Holo-net News journalist, Lusolis Laeyane.

- An Umbaran with considerable capital and societal and political clout named, Lexx Luthue will attempt to eliminate, and once that proves impossible, manipulate Superman away from his secret criminal ventures and political machinations.

- Kal-El has a personal attendant droid at his Fortress of Solitude designated, K3L-X.

- Krypton contained a Force Nexus of Balance in the same way Ta’Myschiira contains one for the Light Side and Apokalips contains one for the Dark Side.

Jedi Consular, Princess Dai Y’nnah aka Wonder Woman

Homeworld: Ta’Myschiira

Lightsaber Type: Yellow (modular: lightwhip)

After being tasked with the undertaking of gathering allies and expanding the Light of Ashla, by her matriarch and sovereign, Queen Mother Hai P’lyyta; in preparation for the coming conflict, Princess Dai Y’nnah, accompanied by a contingent of Aama’xaan Warrior Priestesses, reconnect with the Jedi Order. Dai Y’nnah and her sisters are granted the title of Jedi Consular, acting as ambassadors for the sisterhood and the Order, in humanitarian efforts and diplomatic disputes. Acting as a liaison for the new republic, X-Wing pilot, Tseev Rev’Torr is the point person for the delegation and has a mutual attraction with Dai Y’nnah. In time, Dai Y’nnah discovers the true reason behind her mother’s decision to send her as the lead of the expedition to join forces with the Jedi. An Aama’xaan who grew up on Ta’Myschiira as Dai Y’nnah’s best friend had turned from the teachings of the Dawnsisters, embracing the Dark Side of the Force; fleeing the Paradise Moon with stolen sacred texts in a bid to join forces with The Nightsisters of Dathomir. In order to not be killed on sight, she helped release the imprisoned coven leader, Circe, to help aid in her campaign for power. Taken on as her acolyte, she claimed the name Darth Mala, and the two aligning themselves with the secretive cult of Darkside Loyalists known as the Sith Eternal, they set about heralding the Infinite Empire’s return to reclaim the galaxy.

- I based Wonder Woman’s Jedi Robes on her travel cloak from the DCEU Wonder Woman film starring Gal Gadot.

- Because in the previous pic, I showed Dai Y’nnah wielding her lightsaber in its standard mode, I figured this time I’d show it in its Lightwhip configuration. I originally wrestled with the idea of which style to choose and ultimately decided on including it to emulate her Golden Lasso.

- I wanted there to be a reason for Wonder Woman’s mission and to add a sense of urgency and a personal nature to it, so I included Mala; who in previous incarnations was always presented as a friend, that she would have to reluctantly face.

- Wonder Woman’s mission is part of the impetus that leads to the creation of the Justice League.

- Mala will help train the Nightsisters in the ways of the Aama’xaan to make them even deadlier warriors, giving Wonder Woman’s delegation an ongoing threat to deal with.

- Wonder Woman’s Old Republic sensibilities as well as the nature of her homeworld and its similarities to what Krypton was, will aid in her efforts to align forces with Superman.

- Circe’s connection to magic made her association with the Nightsisters pretty much a given.

- Since Circe comes across more like an Emperor Palpatine level threat, I needed to give Dai Y’nnah a Darth Vader, to contend with, so to speak.

- Tseev Rev’Torr Steve Trevor

Bounty Hunter, Bru Swayin aka Batmandalorian

Homeworld: Coruscant

Lightsaber type: Green (Lightsaber Pike)

Bru Swayin was born the son of a well known architectural and electrical engineer and his Kage bride, who was exiled from her homeworld of Quartzite. Bru and his parent’s lived modestly on the lower levels of planet Coruscant, with aspirations to make the move to the upper level. Bru’s father, Tommin Swayin, finally secured a contract that would facilitate their move, but to do so he and the family had to temporarily relocate to Mothag; a planet on the farthest edge of the Outer Rim, which housed the Arkhamedies Penal Colony. Although it was a massive facility, it was so well devised and constructed that it was renowned for its reputation of being impregnable from outside and inescapable from within. This reputation led to settlement colonies sprouting up in the nearby areas of the facility, which over time evolved into small towns and cities comprised of the families of the workers and merchants. Bru’s parents helped devise and construct the new containment centers, and were overseeing an expansion of the colony, as its procedures had ensured the security of its inmates more than any other prison facility and began to have even more planets relocating their prisoners there. The planet had become home to tens of thousands of the worst criminals from across the galaxy, kept under strict control. However, one day, with the aid of the Laughing Virus, a criminal instigated a rebellion, seizing control of the facility. Virus-infected members of the prison guard were driven utterly insane. In their madness, they released the prisoners. The worst scum of the galaxy routed the remaining guards in hours and took control. Seeking retribution and a demonstration of power, the leader of the prison break ordered the thousands of guards, as well as their spouses, dragged from their living quarters and herded to the exercise area. It was there that the leader of the rebellion stood in the midst of the hostages and drew a weapon that extended into a red bladed lightsaber. He began to hack down the warden and his senior staff, initiating the escaped convicts to begin firing blaster fire into the crowd, murdering the families and yet somehow the lightsaber wielding villain remained unharmed. The sadistic prisoners forced Bru and the rest of their hostages’ children to watch as their parents were massacred over the course of days. When the 15,000 children of those families were forced to watch the horror that befell their parents, the resulting trauma drove half of them to commit suicide with hundreds more driven mad from the experience or completely disregarded these events had ever happened. Out of all of them, one of them could not…would not forget these events. Seeing the inhumanity of the society he lived in, Bru swore vengeance against all evil, and he would find a way to enforce it in any way possible.

- I decided this time around to show Batmando with his weapon, that I based off of the grenade laucher he wielded in BvS: Dawn of Justice. His Lightsaber Pike is attached to his Jump Pack in a similar manner that Din Djarin stored his Beskar Spear.

- I adapted the origin of the story from DC’s Batman 1,000,000 for this part of the Batmandalorian’s origin.

- The prisoner who led the revolt in that story was named, Xauron. I repurposed it so that for the purpose of this story, it would be Djoker aka Darth Rictus who was responsible.

- Due to the trauma he experienced that day, Bru will have an inherent distrust of those who wield lightsabers, but most especially red ones. This will be the impetus for the initial conflict between he and Superman, as upon their first encounter, he sees him use his lightsaber in its red configuration.

- The prisoners thought it would be more sporting to gradually hunt the remaining survivors, and the children were released from the prison and told that they were free to go. Fleeing to the closest populated area, the children attempted to elicit aid from the adults there, but before they could call for help the escaped prisoners descended on them, slaughtering the civilians and destroying all of the transports.

- One of the Security Droid guards from the prison, L-4RD (Alfred), had found its way to where Bru and some the other children were hiding and helped to keep them safe and hidden. The droid led them into a system of caves that had been unexplored and kept them protected for some time, until they were discovered. The droid tried to cover the children’s exit, sacrificing its body to the bandits' attack. Bru was able to get to the droid’s weapon and fend off the attackers long enough for the rest of the survivors to escape further into the caves and him to collect what he could of their fallen protector. He attempted to catch up with them, but having been separated, and no means to track them while still fleeing, he would be on his own.

- He eventually was successful in getting part of the droid back online, utilizing the skills he had inherited from his father, carrying it around with him (like Chewie did C-3PO in Cloud City) as he tried to make his way through the cave system.

- Suffering from severe hunger, he came upon a clearing in the cavern system, only to be swarmed by some bat-like creatures…terrifying him. He struck out in his terror, injuring one before falling down a ravine. After identifying with the small, injured creature that was separated from its kind, he helped it recover and stayed with it until it was strong enough to seek out its family.

- Instead of trying to hunt and eat them, like his mutilated droid companion suggested, he followed them from the shadows to their food source and found a way to survive.

- Bru would think that he had found his way to those he was separated from only to run into the ones he had been attempting to evade, only this time; there was no avenue of escape for him. They taunted him about how they were going to kill him, with one demonstrating by catching one of the bat creatures and ripping its limbs off. They laughed as they backed him up to the end of the cliff he was on, and he debated whether it would be better to jump to his death, but before he could decide, each of their expressions went blank as he watched the blood rush from their faces and be replaced with looks of horror. He slowly turned around to see what it was they saw that was so terrifying, and once he did, he was gripped yet again with paralyzing terror…and understanding; a Chirodactyl , a giant version of the bat creatures flew up from behind him with its massive wings outstretched and glaring its many fangs and immediately began to massacre its home’s invaders.

- Just when Bru thought his life was over, either by the hands of the killers that hunted him or the fangs and claws of the giant bat eviscerating those same killers, a Bounty Hunter in Mandalorian armor showed up to rescue him.

- The mandalorian was dropping off a prisoner when he discovered what had transpired. His ship was a high value commodity for anyone trying to get offworld, so he disabled it so that no one would be able to operate it while he complete his true mission.

- he was secretly commissioned with an enormous sum of credits by a high ranking official, who was not in attendance at the prison facility when the breakout occurred, to retrieve his children; which is what brought him to the cave where Bru was. He found them with the group that Bru was separated from after liberating him from the cave with the bat, corralled all the children to head back to his ship, which was at the facility they prisoners escaped from.

- The only recourse the children and the remaining survivors from the outskirts that joined them had to survive would be to retake the mostly abandoned correctional facility the prisoners had escaped from to pillage to the neighboring areas. With the defenses still down from the prisonbreak, they were able to sneak back in and reclaim command of the facility. They reactivated the security measures and were now secure from the outside, the only bastion of safety on this entire desolate world…Asylum.

- After the slaughter of his parents, and witnessing the massacre on Mothag, the Half human/ half Kage would become the foundling to the one who rescued him; Mandalorian Warrior, Du Karrde.

- After retaking the control center, Du Karrde was tasked with getting the children they’d rescued to safety; they left the world and were relocated back to Coroscant. There, the children were treated for the physical and emotional traumas. Some grew up and were motivated to return to Mothag to assist in the effort of the Batmandalorian’s bid to regulate the crime on that world under the leadership of New Republic Marshal, Jhim Goirdyn.

- Although he was rebuilt as a service droid, L-4RD still maintains his security droid protocols.

- The only transport at the facility was taken by Djoker and as many as he could take with him to flee the planet. They crossed paths with Du Karrde on his way in.

- Outside of his drive to keep the criminal population of Mothag in check, Batmando’s mission includes; policing the crime of the underworld of Coruscant, while dealing with the corruption that feeds it on the upper levels of the galaxy’s capital. Tracking down the original escapees and returning them to confinement, including those that fled the planet with Djoker. He also has a mission to take down Djoker, but knowing the power he has at his disposal will devise a strategy to neutralize him with appropriate weapons of his own…

Starfighter Racer Pilot, Baerri Aelyn aka Flash

Homeworld: Theron

Lightsaber type: None

Former Pod Racer and aerial stunt pilot, Baerri Aelyn was hired to test pilot to a prototype starfighter fitted with an experimental integrated slipstream hyperdrive. The Flow-Wave Accelerator, which is the key component in the Force-integrated Lightspeed Augmented Slipstream Hyperdrive (F.L.A.S.H), has technology that adapts the force ability known as, Flow-Walking; allowing for users to travel through points along the timeline by way of the force, and combining that with the FTL drive to allow for a starship to increase its speed in controlled localized bursts rather than making the full jump to lightspeed. This not only drastically enhances the vehicle’s handling and maneuverability, but eliminates the vast distance displacement required when greatly increasing its speed. An amplified Navi-computer is also required, along with a new enhanced astromech droid, D2-X3; which is capable of keeping up with the myriad complex computations. After the prototype craft proves successful, eight more will be constructed for a full complement of nine ships, and formulate the Velocity Squadron. Baerri’s nickname will be Flash, but his call-sign will be; Velocity-2. Side effects of prolonged use of the FLASH Drive, leads to chronal displacement; which if caught in time, and brought in check, can give the pilot similar abilities on land as those that are achieved by their ship in space.

- Members of the Velocity Squadron include: Admiral Jhey Garrick, Eobard Thawne, Yessenia “Jessie“ Kwiken, Magdalene “Magz” Merkhyrri, Jenni Ognats, Wahli Wetz.

- The Velocity Squadron is also referred to as, the Starlight Speedsters.

- After retiring from his Pod Racing circuit, Baerri participated in The Five Sabers tournament; a prestigious piloting championship held on his homeworld of Theron. As its name suggested, the contest was comprised of five stages: the atmospheric dash, the orbital sprints, the lunar relays, the sublight relays, and hyperspace orienteering.

- I obviously utilized the Rebel Alliance pilot flight suit as a basis for this design. I also was inspired by Tracer from Overwatch for his design and his abilities.

Jedi Knight, Haowl Xiordhin aka Green Lantern

Homeworld: Oa

Lightsaber type: Green (twin); Spinning double bladed

The Emerald Knights were a contingent of Jedi Knights established on the planet, Oa to operate as agents and personal protectors to the Guardians of the Whills. Haowl was the former padawan to Abin Sur, and is now master to a padawan of his own; Kyel Reignrr (…or maybe Arisa Raab). Oa was home to five Sacred Jedi Temples; which were guarded and maintained by teams of Jedi Sentinels, one of whom was Thaal Sinestro. I patterned this design on an image of a Jedi Green Lantern cosplay combined with a Jedi Sentinel concept from the Knights of the Old Republic game. I wanted to have him wield multiple lightsabers, as well as a type that was modular, which is why I incorporated the Inquistor style spinning blade, as I could adapt the handle to resemble the lantern insignia. As a result he carries a total of three lightsabers that he can wield in a variety of ways. I’m also considering the idea of utilizing a special technique amongst the Emerald knights where they utilize kyber shards in conjunction with their force based telekinetics (and possibly lightsaber) to craft constructs…still trying to figure that one out.

- Haowl Xiordhin Hal Jordan

- Haowl pilots an interceptor class starfighter. The ship’s AI can download its neural interface into an advanced droid that Haowl has nicknamed, Aiya.

- Haowl’s Green Lantern symbol shaped Spinning Lightsaber has multiple configurations, includuing: Standard, Crossguard, double bladed, double bladed crossguard, and blaster mode (similar to Ezra Bridger’s). I figured this versatility would in some part harken to his ring’s mainstream nature.

- Oa was designed to be a repository of Knowledge of the Force; including Jedi and Sith Lore, as well as that of the Je’daai and the Whills.

- As is it is customary for them to carry Yellow lightsabers, I decided to make Sinestro a temple Guardian Jedi Sentinel. It also mirrors his working for the Guardians before becoming a villain.

- Scattered within the core of Oa, there are four hidden Sith Temples. One of which is led by the Sith Pureblood, Darth Atrocitious. The Emerald Knights and the Temple Guardians are unaware of this fact.

Bionic Battler, Vyck Stonecutter aka Cyborg

Homeworld: Correllia

Lightsaber type: None

Vyck was a pro athlete, famous for dominating the sports of Grav ball, Shockball, and Shockboxing. When his father, Sylis racked up an enormous debt to the Hutts trying to fund his research, Vyck volunteered to pay it off to save his father’s life. Unable to pay the full amount on the spot, he was compelled to participate in a game of Huttball ; which was a way for debtors to pay back their loans to the Hutts of the Underworld. It was a violent sport, with it basically starting out as gladiatorial duels and evolving over time. Although rules to the game were established, cheating and violence were heavily encouraged. The Galactic Republic made it illegal due to the high number of deaths. It was commonly referred to as the “Blood Sport of Kingpins.” This was not to be any ordinary game of Huttball, instead the rules were changed to incorporate elements of the sports Vyck excelled at, and he would be playing with a team of other debtors against a squad of prototype battle droids. During the game, Vyck sustained heavy damage from the opposing team to prevent him from winning the game. His injured body parts were replaced with cybernetic grafts from the damaged prototype battle droid parts by imperial scientist in attendance, Dr. Cylo. Cylo was instrumental in converting the critically injured Anakin Skywalker into the cybernetic Sith Lord, Darth Vader.

- I chose to give him the name Stonecutter to mirror Star Wars protagonist, Luke Skywalker.

- Since cybernetic prosthetics is a normal occurrence for many star wars characters, I wanted to create some circumstances that would make for Cyborg to be a standout.

- Cyborg’s design is comprised of elements from Super battle droids, the Square Enix Stormtrooper redesign, and Arden Lyn from Masters of Teras Kasi.

- Dr. Cylo was introduced in the recent Star Wars comics that transpire during the Original Trilogy.

- Although I want Cyborg as a member of the Justice League, he will also help formulate a version of The Teen Titans which will include: Jedi Padawan, Dik Gracen aka Robin, Velocity Squadron Pilot, Walli Wetz aka Kid Flash, and Sith Acolyte, Aveniya aka Raven.

The cloak has two Kuru Pendants as clasps, to acknowledge the Kolari aspect of his abilities.

- Yellib will find a companion in a wandering loth-cat, that he will name, Taoni.
