This is very painful to read but beautifully written. The miles may separate them physically but nothing can break that bond between them. So poignant.

Beautiful and heart wrenching all at once!

I'm reading this at work and trying not to fall into a puddle of tears. What a wonderful homage to your friend this story is. The strength Hutch gives to Starsky thru hugs and love is the same strength you give to Janelle - hoping for the same outcome. Thank you for sharing her with us thru the boys. I'm hoping and praying that all will be well for your friend - and for you. Hugs! :-)!

This story was beautiful. Through our boys you delivered the true meaning of friendship and love. I hope that this has given you the much needed comfort. Prayers are sent.

Tears , it rips at my heart this awful disease has taken 2 of my family and my sister is 10 years in remission. It’s a story yet it’s real it’s your Me and Thee, good luck my friend the worst part is the waiting xxx

This is heartbreaking and beautiful at the same time. I love that time nor miles will separate them. The one thing that could is death. With what Starsky has been through already and having Hutch ready to help slay the dragon, how could Starsky not beat cancer's butt again. I love that Hutch's gift made Starsky find the lump early. With that Hutch is already helping Starsky fight the fight. Your descriptions had me on that front step, watching that game and seeing Hutch battle his inner doubts and worries. As you are survivor 10, your friend will be a survivor too. You wrote a beautiful narrative and your love for the guys and your friend shine through. Loved it my friend.

This brought tears to my eyes - we like to think of our guys as supermen who should not be brought down by illness.
And how sad that you and your friend are going through this situation in real life - this must have been very hard to write (and yet maybe cathartic?) Hoping and praying for a good outcome for you both.

I sit here in a puddle of tears and cry for the real life problem that created this story. God bless, my dear friend.

Dear God! Paula! And not used flippantly and you didn't use 'by God' flippantly either!

Such a heart-wrenching and tear-jerking story, and especially made even more-so that this story is based on your and Janelle's real life story on the battle with her life!

I pray to God too that this doesn't end up being a death story! Many XXXXXXX and OOOOOOs to Janelle and you!
