First of all Sirius and Lily are lovely. And James who was waiting for Lily and he didn't even angry about that that she andSirius can hang out tigether. That was soo great and show us his character so much.
I must to say that i love the way you made conversations between your's characters. It's perfect. In this story we have something funny, touching, serious, real, inspiring.

I really liked this chapter. You wrote the thawing of the ice between James and Lily so well! And my heart skipped when James confessed how he feels. It's true that James has never exactly been shy about his feelings for Lily, but this scene was different, because here the bravado was gone and he showed her vulnerability, which I don't think we get to see much in their dynamic. We see James being an outrageous flirt during their school years and then we see them married, and we don't see much of what goes on in between. I think you captured the tenderness and humanity of the beginning of that transition really well, and I'm excited to see how you'll fill the rest of the gap. Poor Lily, trying to cling to three measly (un)reasons! Looking forward to seeing James sweep her off her feet :D

Who the fuck cares if James is mean to Snivellus? Lily is learning what a despicable person he is, who doesn't act like her friend at all. He doesn't give a shit about her concerns, feelings, and values, he hangs around pureblood supremacists and wannabe DEs, and he thinks bullying of others (with Dark Magic, no less, which James refuses to touch) is just a laugh- as long as he's not the one being bullied, the disgusting hypocrite. James, on the other hand may be arrogant, a show-off, and mischievous, but he is extremely loyal to those he cares about (which she knows by now, knows the incredible lengths he and the others went to help Remus through his monthly suffering) and he's no user of the Dark Arts nor a pureblood supremacist. And knowing all the wonderful things about James and all the shitty things about Snape, she still thinks James is the ugly one on the inside? Especially now that she knows he is considering joining Voldemort? As a Muggleborn and his supposed best friend, she should tell him that if he is even considering joining a group dedicated to mudering and torturing those of her kind, that's proof he could care less about her. Hell, the kind of people he hangs around with, and how he uses the M-word with everybody but her, should already be proof! I know she's trying to be loyal to him, but what about his loyalties to her?! If anybody understands loyalty, it's James!

I'm enjoying the evolution of Lily's relationship with James and the rest of the Marauders, and how her hatred is slowly thawing. I also like how you captured the innocence of their early years (one detention!), and how at first there is mutual distrust going on (at least with Sirius). I always feel a little sad when I read Marauder's era fics because I know how it's all going to end for the characters, but I really like how you're portraying their early years and slowly developing them into the people they will be.
