This feels like both a sequel to another story (references to losing to Cao Cao the "first time") AND a story with too many in-built conveniences. Like, why would Rias NOT stick around to heal him like she did in canon, especially if she's MORE worried due to the 8 pieces acting weird. It is way too convenient that Issei (or whoever the hell he is) gets to do whatever he wants without oversight in this situation.
Mostly it feels like starting on chapter 10 of a story that's already AU enough that it needs more explanation rather than less. Why/how does "Issei" know how to regenerate, how to cast spells, who Albion and Ophis are, yet NOT know that a Fallen is coming and Rias is close behind? It's not an SI, who would know the plot but not the magic. It's not Issei, since he doesn't know shit. So who the hell is the MC?
All in all, this is one of the worst starts to a DxD story I've ever seen because it's so choppy and inconsistent, but I know you can write better than this.

I must say Issei's cautiousness with not being strong enough is quite weird, because in canon, that Issei... That pathetic excuse of a main character became one of the strongest beings in one year, and since your much better Issei discovered his SG so early on, he should be no slouch at all
Besides that, great chapter man, if only this was updated more often, but oh well, see you in the next one then
