Oh wow! Yeah I was thinking about searching for that specific phrase to see if such a story really existed.
This one gets kinda heavy at times actually, but I find Yamcha reading stories about him getting together with other male casts and using them as a way to comfort himself as pretty funny. Yeah he gets kinda screwed pretty bad even in this story. I do think this one fits well as a one shot and doing a very long fic might take away the appeal really, as the purpose of this one is to raise a point, unless there are other issues you'd like to address.
On the other hand, it would be funny for the z-fighters to read about a future that hasn't happened yet. Imagine if pre-Buu Gohan read about Videl, pre-Buu Satan read about his granddaughter Pan, and immediate post-Cell 18 read about her daughter Marron.
