Thanks for not dwelling on the depredations of age, but you gotta love a man who can make your knees stop aching! I was afraid they would get bittersweet, but Darcy’s unsent letters were a tremendous flashback, exposing his angst over being ambushed by his feelings for Elizabeth. Poor guy, but I feel like the letters were a peek behind the curtain of canon.
